statistics on FAA response to plane off route?

I was wondering if anyone had official statistics on FAA planes that are off route, being nonresponsive etc.. and the escort response, and time required for such things. Provide links if you can.

I remember seeing it once. before 9/11, in 2001 they have scrambled jets 67 times to intercept planes. When golfer Payne Stewarts plane went off course, they were up and intercepting 15 minutes later after the first signs of distress.
