hey! i have a dell XPS 400 which i bought in october 05, and it came with a ATI radion X600 video card, 2.8ghz dual core processer, and a gig of RAM. i have Doom 3...which takes quite a bit to run, and it used to run fine (it might of lagged for about 2 or 3 seconds when the level first started). i uninstalled it, and just about a month ago i reinstalled it, and no the game runs like crap!! the frame rate is way down, theres a good 2 and a half sound delay, and i cant run anymore high profile games w/o the game running like crap. (F.E.A.R., Fable, Elder Scrolls etc.)

i have my video card all updated and that new catalyst control center and everything, and it still doesnt work, i've tried everything i know of doing (im a big computer guy) but it doesnt work, any help will be welcomed!!!

thank you!

try downloading direct x 9c and loading it.

Sometimes when programs are uninsalled. they take direct x with them.

Direct X 9C

try uninstalling all the(video) driver's-could be causing a problem.

reboot computer.

Install the newest ATI Video Driver that works for your card:

ATI Video Driver
6.8

install.

reboot

reconfigure vid card.
