I hope it is a conspiracy. This way all you people who believe in them can say you were right.

I just find it amazing how amazing how, every year when the summer is over and the demand drops, the price drops, but since this is an election year, "Bush has to be behind it".

Give me a break.......

It's not any matter of believing in any Conspiracies - it's a matter of knowing they do exist and are occurring every second. The Trojan Horse of Troy was a Conspiracy and this is something most historians agree on 'knowing'. The market forces are all rigged and the SEC is part of it. If they were not then how come they do nothing about 'M3' no longer being published; why do they do nothing about all the short selling of Gold and Silver by groups like Chase-Manhatten etc? The goverment is also in on this and Henry Kissinger said last year (during the Bildiberg meetings) that he wanted oil up to 85$ etc.

Markets do not have to do anything and 'demand' is not the whole of the matter to only be considered. Anyone with half a brain (who calls themself an expert) can see that the market's are rigged. The people on T.V are either lying, or too young and dumb to know what is really going on. The ones who are lying are collecting a big paycheck and their job is to keep the US Dollar as high as can be!

I said Oil and gas would drop before it happened. I knew it would drop as fast as it did and I knew it would stop at the set amount and hold until November. it will go right back up after the elections and many of us will profit off this knowledge. If you cannot know the conspiracy then you may as well pull out an ouiiga board because graphs, waves and charts are garbage in an art form and particularly useless in manipulated markets.

Conspiracies are happening every second because the very people who print FIAT currency (out of thin air) continue to work in unison, doing the same thing day after day. There is no oil shortage anyhow, (it's a big myth) and that means that demand is not what they are telling you.

Your government is your enemy and that quote I paraphrase from the Founders of America who knew better.

This is a cycle that occurs every few years. If there is a conspiracy here it is being done by OPEC. Every few years gas prices get jacked through the roof for several months and then they drop back down, but just not as far. It wasn't that long ago that gas blew past $2.00 and zoomed up to around $3.25. After a few month of that people start getting on the alternative fuels bandwagon and OPEC throws us a bone. I look for gas to stabilize at about $2.30 for a while. This is enough of a drop that people will start buying SUVs again and taking long trips.

OPEC does not decide the price of a barrel of oil each morning - the FED/IMF/London/Wallstreet do. The evil ones plan to blame OPEC (particulaly the Muslims will be blamed) when the US dollar collapses by the nations moving into Eoro's and Rubles - of course they will not mention inflation. Watch and see, it is not OPEC who is really in charge - for they merely are going along for the profit ride - for now that is.

I think 'fear' makes people turn off their minds and not hear the truth too clearly. Just as the Atlantians did not listen - neither shall most people heed the warning signs. But these are only myths - so don't pay any attention as we are making it all up to scare you into not watching movies like this:

The Gallup Poll is one of the most reliable polls out there with a high reputation for accuracy and integrity. They use random number-dialing for their polling... so that pretty much shoots down the argument that they "picked morons wandering the streets" in order to skew their polls.

But this is a common tactic of people like you.... even when all facts go against your way of thinking, just deny the credibility of those facts, even in the face of overwhelming credibility. Deny, deny, deny.

I can randomly call people from the phone book and ask them "Was Jesus the son of God and do you believe the Bible should be taken literally?"

The overwhelming majority in this country will answer, "yes."

Fact is, most people... most... are blithering idiots waiting to be told what to do. Right now the left-wing media is telling you to believe there is a conspiracy...

Facts? Credibility? Are you actually making that assertion? Wow.

This is unbelievable!

This just backs another one of my theories...Good News for America is bad news for Democrats and vice-versa.

Was Carroll Quigley a Democrate or a Republican? Or did he know something more as a CFR member?

Carroll Quigley in his 1966 book Tragedy and Hope

"The argument that the two parties should represent opposed ideals and policies – one, perhaps, of the Right and the other of the Left – is a foolish idea. Instead, the two parties should be almost identical, so that the American people can throw the rascals out at any election without leading to any profound or extensive shifts in policy. ”

"...either party in office becomes in time corrupt, tired, unenterprising, and vigorless. Then it should be possible to replace it, every four years if necessary, by the other party, which will have none of these things but will still pursue, with new vigor, approximately the same basic policies..."

Bill Clinton speaks on Carroll Quigley: en.wikipedia.org...

As a teenager, I heard John Kennedy’s summons to citizenship. And then, as a student at Georgetown, I heard that call clarified by a professor named Carroll Quigley, who said to us that America was the greatest Nation in history because our people had always believed in two things–that tomorrow can be better than today and that every one of us has a personal moral responsibility to make it so.

No one is 'telling me' to believe anything... I look at the issues for myself... as opposed to just automatically calling everyone idiots and assuming anyone without a different viewpoint is inferior intellectually or patriotically.

My point was that 42% of Americans believe in this "conspiracy".... according to you, those 42% Americans are idiots. That's your ONLY argument? That's a fairly ambitious and arrogant thing to say-- that you're automatically smarter than those Americans simply because they believe something that you do not.

Try something new, for a change.

Try being a little less predictable.

I didn't call everyone idiots. I thought I was rather clear on that.

However, it is clear my point has been lost on you. If you have it in you, please read my previous post again... and again... and again.

I'm truly stunned that someone like you would even have the gall to say something like that, given your cookie-cutter views lifted straight off of Fox News (I've seen some of your posts).

My apologies, you said most everyone is an idiot, not everyone is an idiot. But that changes very little of the jist of my point. You still refuse to address the issue with anything more than snide little bratty comments. Your implication was that my reference to the Gallup Poll result showing 42% of Americans believed in this conspiracy was invalid because Americans are mostly stupid people. You're going to have to try a little harder than that... try posting with a little substance.

Back to the thread topic... It would not be out of character for the Bush Administration to have a hand in this-- I think their relationship with the oil industry speaks for itself. I, and many many other people, just refuse to believe this is yet another coincidence. Granted, there is a seasonal drop every year around this time... but over a 30% drop in one month?

If the Republicans stay in power this fall, the price will shoot right back up... Just watch.

I loved the one poll someone posted, what a way to word the question, and people act suspired at the result.
Please, if people want to believe in a conspiracy then they will, gas price could have even gone down in January and people would still have said that it was related to the November elections.

You said most people are idiots waiting to be told what to do then implied those people are under the direction of the "left-wing media" telling them to say that. You didn't use the word stupidity... but you used the word idiots. Quit playing word-games.

If you still cannot understand something this basic, there's really no point for me to continue to waste my time... have a good evening.

What is Left wing media?

I know the whole oil market is controlled. Oil companies have been trying to push up the price for years. Profits have been enormous for big oil. Go back and read my last post!

Everyone, stop calling people idiots, it just lowers everyones perception of you and the validity of your post. People do not want to hear the truth, thats what we have Faux News for!

Left Wing Media = USA BAD. Lie, Omit, Deceive to make USA BAD.

Until Left run USA. Then USA GOOD. Lie, Omit, Deceive to make USA GOOD.

Yes, the oil market is controlled... by free enterprise. Capitalism. mmmmmm.

Profits may be impressive, but the margins are not.

And this appears to be a common theme... ignorance of what it means to be an idiot.

I love the constant references to Fox News. I have never watched three seconds of Fox News. Am I to presume it is a conservative media outlet?

I don't know if there is a tie between dropping oil prices and this, but Sakhalin 1 as well as other Russian Far East petroleum stations recently began to pump up their capacity. Most of that oil is going to the US, as of several months ago. If you know Luk Oil in the Northeast, thats where those gas stations get most of their reserves from.

Also on a similar note, the Caspian sea pipeline through Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Turkey recently began pumping petroleum- most of which should also go the US.

OPEC has more control than you give them credit for. All they have to do is to put out a press release stating that they are "thinking" of reducing production and watch what happens to oil prices. You tell me how the FED or the IMF controls oil prices.
