Alien intervention during extinction events

Right now I've noticed it's like we're in a peace zone. The next comet of catastropic size is predicted by astronomers to hit earth in 2160. Although there have been near misses in recent times of several large objects. My question is, would e.t intervene and help in such a situation? Not just asteroid or comet impacts alone, but other wordly crisis? Perhaps they have already?

one thing this got me thinkking about is, why would the e.t.'s want to intervene with us? we havent helped them at all, i mean ive even seen a video shot from a NASA satellite showing us actually shooting weapons at a ufo! why would they try to keep us alive?

I think you may have taken my response out of context. What i was implying is that they have memories of us that have not happened yet.

I think they might help us. Have you seen the video of an alleged flying saucer type UFO disintegrating an asteroid? I'll see if I can find it.

I've seen that video I didnt really see how it disintigrated it i saw the asteriod and it looked like it "fell" apart on entry to our atmosphere but I did not see any UFO near the asteroid. I dont think they will help us though we can only help ourselves. If they would why did Hiroshima and Nagasaki happen??? A lot of lives were lost there and they did nothing, granted there was more activity from them right after that but they did not intervine. Why would they help us they are not our protectors they are probably just watching us and studying us.

I also saw the STS video and I dont believe the excuse Nasa gave that it was an ice partical and the flash was a booster that sent that ice partical flying you can clearly see a flash then what looks like a beam of light shoot past where the object was.

Personally, I don't buy that that NASA video is showing a UFO being shot at. I think that is a far stretch of the imagination. I'm not claiming to know what those things are in the video, though. So don't berate me for not believing the story sold with it. I just don't buy that that conclusion can be logically attained. As for what those objects are, they are space UFOs, as far as I am concerned.

I can say that I talked to someone who does believe that extinction events are related to aliens. This is the person who claims he knows someone who knows a foo fighter pilot. The version of events he told was quite ominous. He was very negative about science fiction shows in which aliens are presented in a postitive light. WHen I asked him why, that is when he started to talk about his friend's friend and mass extinction events.

A lot of fear or something credible? I don't know.

One thing is certain. Evolution benefits from the occasional force feeding of massive selective pressure. You can test this in basic computer simulations, and it works. Of course, if you do it wrong, you wipe out everything and lose all of your "work".

Well, assuming that any alien race actually does visit Earth,
I don't really know.

They may, or they may not.
I think something we do to much is give aliens human like qualities,
when, if you think about it, why should they have such qualities.
Perhaps Aliens believe in Macroevolution, and not interfering in the
natural development of a race, even if they're about to become extinct.

2160? That's just pure number crunching man. There is a "Extinction Level Event" approx every 65 million years. 65 Million years ago the dinosaurs were wiped of the map. That means we could get hit tomorrow or we could get hit in a few million years.
As far as aliens helping us.... hmm.... well I have no idea. If they are trying to help us through the course of evolution or merely use us for food, there is a reason to help us. Perhaps they would be curious to see how we would respond to such a threat? I'm not going to pretend to understand the motivations of an intelligence far beyond my own. It's fun to guess though

Would you save a colony of cockroches, or a nest of rats? Both species being somewhat more worthy of saving than humans....
