its all political.

Its not just cause there communists. Its all the factors...Like how Taiwan is a US ally, we think of it as a seperate country from China...But China doesn't, and many think tehre building up there military to "re-take" Taiwan. Then there North Korea...Which is a puppet and China is holding the strings.

And the US hasn't nor will ever completely except Russia...partialy because there communists.

I think the situation is much more complicated then that.

An Alliance in space between Russia and China just makes sense. If they were to bring America on board to a space alliance between these three countries, that would make even more sense. Mix together American Money & Knowhow, Russia's Knowhow and Space Entrapenuership, and Chinese Newfound wealth and extremely deep intellectual base(mostly theoretical not practical) and you got the makings of a future intergalactic hyperpower.

As for the Taiwan situation and the N. Korea situation, again more complicated then anyone believes. People generally regard Taiwan as a US ally, BUT, the USA still doesn't reconize them as a sovereign nation because they think that will trigger a Chinese invasion. N. Korea, even though is widely seen as a Chinese puppet, I believe is anything but one. I don't think the Chinese can control Kims ambitions which is why they've been all keen on these talks that are going on lately.

As for calling China communist or even calling Russia communist, well lets just say everytime someone says that, Marx, Lenin, and Mao roll over in their graves in unison.

The fact is they are showing more Laisse Faire capitolist values then we are atm.

I personally think all three spacefaring nations should get together for exporation, exploitation, colonization, and eventually eeexxxtteeermiiination mwahahahaha!!11!

Its only a Prototype

yeah, That was the simplified version.

anyway, I dont think the US should cooperate with ANY other country in big projects. This means another space station, of joint moon or mars trip, or anything else unforseen.

I have no problem with cooperation on smaller things...Like a satellite...But large manned ventures...No.

Alien species could be millions of years ahead of us (technologicaly speaking)..

Yes they could but does that mean there are a dozen more efficient ways ( than the anti-grav basis) to travel inside a planets atmosphere?

.And if thats the case...then they would have FAR FAR better tech. Would you not agree?

We really do not know what the upper limit is but why immediately assume that it can't be us or them because we can not be that advanced and they will be more so? All we know for sure is we can do so it's stupid to assume that others will not employ similar methods.

I dont think there interested in us because of our anti-grav tech...I think there watching us in much the same way that we would watch an ant farm.

Well i certainly do not know what their motives are if there are in fact aliens watching us from orbiting spacecraft. It in fact sounds like a stupid idea if you want to stay hidden and i suspect with all the advanced technology they supposedly have they would have found better ways. It makes far more sense to suspect that the ships we see buzzing around inside and outside the atmosphere are in fact from here and operated by the armed forces of various countries.

of course the Wright brothers didn't copy an alien design, and I think as a civilization were pretty smart, and can overcome any task.

So why does UFO talk so frequently involve aliens and not earthly factions? When the Russians claim they have weapons that makes any American ABM defenses useless what exactly do they mean by that? Instead of discussing the question in a even marginally useful way people just immediately and stupidly assume that it's not us even thought these UFO's do they type of stupid average things that continental powers would in fact be doing.

But I think Anti-grav is out of are reach...for the moment. And I will likely think that until they show off a fuel-less spacecraft. Or until I have a lot of proof to sway my decision.

This is clearly not about proof as the proof have been out there for decades on end. Have you at all looked at my posting record and put two and two together?

I think we came up with props, jet engines, scram jets,& PDE's, And I think the best hope we (the average joe) have of being able to go into space is by using a space elevator, Hopefully one will be functional with in 2 decades.

Why base what is possible on your limited understanding? Why not do some research into what sort of devices have been patented in this scientific realm?

Just for the record, I'm an Atheist.

Which in my opinion is just as bad as being religious. Why so arrogantly assume that there can not be a 'god' or creator that is responsible for the almost impossibly fast evolution of the hominid species?

Much of the chaos in the world to day is because of religion. (I'm mainly referring to terrorist, where their Islam religion tells them to die for it, and they will get 72 virgins waiting for them......

Actually most of the chaos in the world is due to the policies of the western powers who actively try destroy any notion of independence and freedom. Religions play their part in this mess but the absolute massive majority of religiously inclined people are not made more prone to general warfare and destruction than is the norm imo. People are as peaceful as their governments allow them to be and the nature of the religion practiced in that society do not seem to play a significant part. People do not like war and fanaticism in religion are mostly due to things that happen well outside the religious sphere.

Which...BTW, is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. But these wacko's believe it and go drive a car rigged with explosives into a market to kill as many as possible.

Well i think you will be surprised to find how infrequently actual suicide is involved in car bombings by the nature of the crater left. There is no conventional explosives that you can place in a car or on a person that can leave a hole in the ground. The reason the west always involves the notion of 'suicide' is to make the enemy seem impossibly crazy and thus worthy of being hunted and destroyed like animals.

The world would be a better place if there were no religions.

No doubt.

links please? and I would like the links to be linked to the US patent Office site, to the exact patents your referring to.

I think anyone left unconvinced after tracking down the inventors and inventions described below is uniquely stupid or uninterested in what reality has to offer humanity. I can make more specific arguments but it's always interesting to see what people like you do when you have been given this volume of rope.

Update:

China to launch Mars probe in 2009

Beijing (PTI): China, which sent its first lunar orbiter to probe the moon's surface recently, will launch its maiden Mars probe onboard a Russian rocket in October 2009, state media reported.
Yinghuo-1 would reach the pre-set circling orbit and beam the first images of the red planet in September 2010, the state-run China Daily said, quoting a senior scientist.
The prototype of the probe was now being subjected to a series of experiments and its compatibility with the Russian spacecraft would be tested in May next, Chen Changya, a researcher with the Shanghai Institute of Satellite Engineering, said.
The 110-kg micro-satellite would travel 350 million km in 11 months before entering the planet's orbit, Chen, who is in charge of the project developing the Mars probe told a forum on space technology in Shanghai, the newspaper said.

The Mars probe, which has a designed life span of two years, will orbit the planet for a year and relay back the first images of the planet taken by a Chinese satellite. The probe would land on the Martian moon and return to earth with soil samples, it said.
China's lunar probe, Chang'e-1, launched on October 24, travelled 380,000 kms before circling the moon. On November 26, China had published the first picture of the moon captured by the 2,350 kg satellite.

Chang'e-1 will make a three-dimensional survey of the moon surface and analyse abundance and distribution of elements on the lunar surface.
