No. The Middle East has been engulfed by violence, insanity, and religous destruction and hatred since....well.....the dawn of civilization. The current violence and insanity present there is nothing new and has been going on for a while.

The difference is, all these idjuts got bigger, badder weapons to spread "gods work" with. Like nukes, chems, missiles, rockets, explosives, ect.
