I should have noted this before but it didn't dawn on me till now.
If your using imageshack for imagehosting be warned that after so much bandwidth is used from a site within (Day/Week/Month) imageshack will permablock that domain from using any images.

So, I guess it may be a good idea that if your using Imageshack to switch over to Imagevenue for now.
(Or untill we get some sort of other option)
I plan to in the next few days to update the pages I made that are using imageshack to imagevenue.

Photobucket.com is also good and is what I've always used.

I have over 500 images hosted on the ATS server in my upload space.

Can I link pertinent images from there into a TinWiki article ?

Is there any limit on how much space you can use on ATS's servers ?

I ask because most of the TinWiki articles have no imbeded images other than links, and I think they would look much better if images opened on the page.

If this is possible I'll go do some work in an area of ATS that I've ignored for too long.

I don't think there is any limit for hosting on your ATS account.

Check out this thread for all the info on tinWiki images.

All TinWiki Users Please Read: Image Use Policy.

That's a pretty tight legal document, but I think I can work within it.
I'll do some exploring in TinWiki and see if I can add anything of worth.

I do not believe you can link images onto the tinwiki website, from the ats upload space. And this issue with bandwidth limits may become a problem in the future. Ideally what we need is image uploading directly to the tinwiki website. I do not think space is a great issue with this. Right now there are about 75 to 100 images on the site. Let me appeal to the powers that be and see if something can be done about this.

Please post what you find out.

I've been so tempted to dip into TinWiki, but for some reason I feel intimidated by the whole thing.
I should spend some time exploring.

I notice that the ATS member upload space is on the same server in Dallas as the TinWiki, so from one to the other, it's all in the same place anyway.

But uploading directly to the site would be the cat's meow.

I have noticed on the main ats site allows images to be hotlinked into tinwiki.org and thats it really.

So then that is what I will do. For now, I will rehost the images onto ATS, and link them to tinwiki. I know we lost the skull and bones picture, and ronishia hasnt been around so I dont know what image was being used there.

Just an idea... what if we were to have a special area on ATS to upload images that could only be linked to tinWiki. They wont work on any of the other ATS sites just on tikWiki, allowing people to have some upload ability. (Besides Imageshack, Imagevenue and the others)
You could add a description to it also to help.

Then again you need to be an ATS member to do that.

Just another idea... a little more thought out this time.
