I've always been a fan of the Stones, certainly not my favorite band but excited to see. Twice I have had tickets to see them but have sold them both times, but on the 23rd of September the Bigger Bang Tour is coming to Halifax and once again I have tickets.

Alice Cooper, Sloan, Kanye West are all opening for the Stones which should make for an amazing show.

Creating this thread to hear if there are any Stones fans out there who may have seen them in the past, or has anyone been to a show on their recent tour?

Please refrain from jumping into this thread and saying how bad they are, I'd never want to see them, etc. I'm just looking to hear from a few fans and what some people may of thought of a live show they went to see.

I saw them in Charlottesville, Va...and man...THEY ROCKED! MY best concert ive been to yet (i'm a bit younger than most people here probably, i've seen Cake, Chevelle, Jimmy eat world, (all at this chili cookoff a couple years back) and motley crue...and by far, the STones were great....That was the concert though, that had the bomb threat...but they came back after an hour and played and everything worked out fine...Definately go and see them...Though, since mick jaggar had that throat problem, hopefully he's a lot better...

Yeah I am pretty fired up about seeing these guys, even though they are borderline ancient. I almost went to see Motley Crue in February, but the people who committed to go with me backed out the last minute and I was left stranded. I have seen INXS & Simple Plan in the last few months, Garth Brooks about 10 years ago, Sum41. I am hoping this one ranks up the top, simply with the opening acts its going to make for an amazing day of music.

Thanks for your post.

I saw them last year in Connecticut... it was an awesome show! Mick Jagger ran atleast 70 yards at a fast speed... while singing... I couldn't do that. lol

Both times I passed up the opportunity to see them, I was really dissapointed. Then watching them perform at the Super Bowl, I was like Damn these guys are realling losing it. It was like Jagger could not hit the notes above the music, and the lyrics were simply toned out.

But then the chance comes up again, and I could not turn it up again.

Alice Cooper, Sloan, Kanye West & The Rolling Stones.

Well the show went down last night and all I can say is I am speechless.

Sloan came out first and blew the roof off the place. Alice Cooper followed up with two hours of classic rock that had over 50 thousand people jammin to. Kanye West was up after Cooper and it was a good mixture of sound.

Alternative Rock followed by some Classic and then some Hip Hop.

After a bit of a wait, the Stones came out to rock the place.

They performed for about two hours, and man do they know how to put on a show.

It poured all night. Covered in mud, dirty, rain and anything else you wouldn't want to be. But it didn't keep anyone from having the time of their life.

You weren't permitted to take cameras inside the gates so I had to leave my digital camera at home. However, I did stock up on some disposable cameras that I am going to get developed tomorrow. I'll upload them when I get the opportunity.
