Re PANHA 2091, the number of these in service is probably very small indeed and in general these are not much different from the regular AH-1Js in Iranian service.

If you look at photos or video from the recent exercises you can see that a majority of the Iranian military is underfunded and underequiped. Using civilian motorcycles, primitve radio technology, stock Toyota pickup trucks, no body armour, etc.

The majority of the Iranian military didn't even participate in the games so how can you make such a judement.

Using civilian motorcycles,

Whats wrong with "civillian£" motorcycles. Just becuase America gets everything custom made doesnt mean it performs any better. A motor bike is a motor bike you get the cheepest working reliable model you can to do the job. You dont need to spends millions of dollars in research to build and design something which already exists.

primitve radio technology,

You cant actually say something is "primitive" just by it's looks.

Unless you have seen inside what type of system it is you cannot say it is primitive.

stock Toyota pickup trucks,

Once again thats not really anything bad. Maybe that truck is perfect for there enviroment?

If you take a look at alot of wargames most soldiers don't wear body armour. In some they might other might not becuase there is usally no requirement to wear them. This doesn't mean they don't have vests. Becuase Iran actually manufactures and sells bullet proof vests and there soldiers are also provided with them.

Also another fact is Iranian bullet proof vests are easy to miss if you dont know what they look like. Here is a link of all the stuff iran manufactures and sells. Go down the list and you see 2 of the main types of level 3 armor available it looks like a full webbing and when worn could easily be confused into thinking they are not wearing a bullet proof vest :

Because a large amount of Iran's military consists of the men you saw in those photos.

Are you serious? The chrome was not even painted over. A reflection off chrome can be seen miles away.

Yes you can. Did you see those whip antenna on the radioes? A large antenna like that means no microwave communcations. The type the Iranians are using is easy to jam, intercept, etc.

A camel or a horse would be perfect for the environment but you don't see the military using those do you? Those trucks still had chrome, no armour, civilian tires, etc. I didn't see anything under 20 years old. A proper military vehicle would be much better in the "environment" of combat.

Actually they do. Better to learn with the armour on.

I suppose the real litmis test is the last war between israel and lebanon, as hezbollah was trained and euiped by Iran, in one month they managed to kill 118 of israels top soldiers , 38 merevan tanks , downed 4 apaches and disabled one navy frigate, and in lebanon they dont even have choppers/tanks/air force or significant missiles (they do have katusha rockets) so with that as a litmus test it doesnt necessarily mean that one can judge a force simply wether or not they equipment looks new and shiny, i mean the us forces have are not even engaging any significant army and they are struggling. the taliban after 7 years are stronger than ever and growing in power so how great is the US really! and iraq is only peaceful because the shiite majority have agreed to a peace deal, AK47s can still shoot down apaches as has been the case in iraq, dont judge a book by its cover, thata all im saying. The last major conflict the us was in against an actual army was vietnam and we all know what happened there im sick of people using the iraq war as a demosntration of the excellence of the us armed forces, FYI the coutnry was sanctioned and was starved for 10-20 years then went through a horrible war with iran for 8 years which destroyed its defenses BEFORE the US attacked. So lets take the Iraq 'victory' with a humbled approach and lets look at afghansitan as the americans aint done crap there
