How many religious folks in here have spoken to god or heard god speak.? And what did he say?

You know, he never actually says anything and I know that sounds cliched, but he's way more interested in listening. He did tell me to go for a walk because I was deemed too angry in general; a warning if you will from the ultimate Moderator. He also sayed to not expect WW III to happen until all of the Muslims have air conditioning and that being no less than the year 2080. This information was actually brought to me through being in some sort of hypnotic state and while I was amazed to be in Heaven before I died etc., all of those angels and what not do in fact take God very seriously as it is slightly more than just their job as you might have guessed. Quick to anger, he easily has the biggest Napoleonic Complex of anyone.

Not only does God speak, I wrote a short story about it.

The Voice of God

I ran across a bumper sticker the other day that actually stopped me in my tracks. It went like this:

"Why is it when we talk to God were praying but when God talks to us were neurotic?"

Now personally i've never considered myself neurotic although i'm sure I have many family members and friends that would rise to argue the matter, And yet I hear the voice of God everyday.

When I wake each morning and start to prepare for the day I hear God whispering, "I've given you another day my child." And as I head out the door to go to work again God says, "I've provided for you a good job and good people to work with." When I sit to eat the voice of God reminds me, "I shall not let you hunger this day." Ok, I think you get my point here. God speaks to each and every one of us throughout the day and for all our lives.

Gods voice is always present in the laughter of children, the beauty of a sunrise, the smile of a friend and in the gentle breathing of that someone you love as they sleep beside you. It can be heard in every flower and in every song.

It can even be heard in the problems and disasters that come our way, Saying, "I love you enough to make you grow, Even in ways you may not want to."

If you can't hear the voice of God, its not that the voice isn't there...its because you my friend are not listening

Love and light to each of you,

Wupy

I have.

He said he doesnt like the name God. He said he would prefer just about anything else....the creator, great spirit, etc. He said his name is not God, and he really did not like the name or how it was given to him.

I have.

I went to sleep, and woke up under a tree in a field. there was a man sat with me, and he smiled as I awoke. He asked if i was hungry, and i said yes i was. he broke open a loave of bread, and tore me off a piece.

he asked if i was thirsty, and i said yes. he poured me out a cup of sweet smelling honey coloured drink.

He took his own, ate some bread and took a drink. I did the same as I was hungry and thirsty. It was SO nice. like the best ever meal I had ever ever had. I finished it all without talking, and when i had eaten my fill i sat back against the tree and sighed with pleasure. I felt happy and safe with this man, and took a good look at him.

This man stood up and I stayed sat down in total shock. He was radiant in a way words fail to describe. "God!" is all i managed to stammer.

I will never forget his kindness and comfort at a time when I was both hungry and thirsty and in need of guidance.

Thank you God, for you alone know just how hungry and thirsty I had become.

P.S.

About the cash machine. that was awesome. Thank you for it meant that i did not go hungry.

Personaly I think anybody who claims they have a job, or are wealthy because God made it happen are defineatly delusional...

Do you think the starving millions in Africa pissed God off or something?

Yeah because Egypt is in Africa and refused to adhere to God's demands in letting free the Jews. God does that sometimes and Jesus too with the Chernobyl "accident" as the biggest example thus far. God answers all prayers and so don't expect the world's second biggest continent to stay dormant forever, so to speak, as there are many infrastructure improvement schemes going on right now.

This isn't a conspiracy and has absolutely nothing to do with Origins & Creationism.

I swear this place reads more like fox news every day.

The creator is in each one of us and within us, we only need to listen to hear and we will only hear what we want to hear.

We in our human minds tend to think as individuals but the truth is that we are all bound together as in our souls.

That is a concept that many do not understand and religion make sure we never do understand.

What goes in the world is the doings of us human beings when we work with individual minds.

Because is easier to blame somebody else for the results of our own actions.

BTW I am not a religious person because that is human creation, but I do understand the concept of a creator.

This is interesting. I want to hear what god has to say to folks. Everyone tell me about their experiences. Keep going.

God even talks to bush.

I have been praying a lot to hear God as well as some other personal prayers. I am not sure if this classifies in your eyes, but it made me smile:

-I rolled over and started to sleep
-I entered that 'in between state'
-I heard a faint voice in a male tone and it said 'Use the..."
-I was aware that I was aware and I was aware of this happening yet I was aware I was in an in between state....very few times this has happened
-I could not hear what was stated after 'Use the...' so I stated 'What, I cannot hear you'
-The voice said something else I could not make out
-Then it was like a repetition 'Use the...' and then I got a clear vivid picture of a wheel in my head and I felt some very pure sensations (those full body light and tingly sensations if you know what I mean) and some other sensations
-When I awoke into the awake state, I went over it all in my head...and I took from it what I was told: "USE THE WILL" - it seems it was easier to post a picture in my head than actually state it in voice...the voice was very faint but the image was very, very clear.

I understand this can be pushed into the 'dream' category, but for me it meant something. Helped me smile for a while.

The meaning is personal to me (as far as going beyond the words into what it really means to me) and whether it was God, something else, the unconscious, or just a dream, it still means much to me

My mom had a dream of God. She was in his throne room and he was a gigantic blue flame. Her and Lucifer were there at the feet of God and as soon as she arrived there she started praying. On a different occasion while in mediation, she saw the face of a very real Jesus Christ with a particularly hardened face.

According to Jesus in one confusing day for everyone, he declared to me that God's flaw is of being too powerful and of course God responded with a "shouldn't you be elsewhere?". Everything else on seperate occasions is astonishingly obvious from the Son of Man and namely that, in a very serious tone, he declared the 9/11 attacks as completely Satan's fault.

I actually asked Jesus about how he goes about South Park making fun of him and he could care less. His view on burnt offerings that of which is in the Old Testament near the beginning is the exact same. A big fan of Edgar Cayce and that one Enya song from The Lord of the Rings; for those who are particulary sensitive to controversy, Jesus is definitely far more easy to work with. Oh yeah, and he wrote the Book of Revelations in it entirety. Get this: Here's what God's response about Jesus' spiel on being forsaken, "Because I was being too harsh on him".

ANOK, not so. We have what we have because of him, and our hard work. Mostly him. Because he has, it is our place to help others. His children are always provided for, by whatever way he sees is best.

Marg, To see his work is easy, to hear his voice is difficult. You have to show him love and respect. You have to be able to talk to him and have full faith that he is going to talk to you. You have to be able to clear out all your thoughts and not allow one word of your own to go through your head. When your mind is clear of all thoughts, and you have full faith......he will speak.

So was Bill Gates blessed by God? George Bush, Cheney? Members of the Mob?
They're all pretty wealthy, but far from being Christians or following the teachings of Jesus, no?
Have you read the Bible? Remember the part about a rich man and the eye of a needle?

So poor people won't be saved? I guess God is not happy with us.
Gandi must have been evil, and Mother Teresa...

If find it funny ppl think they are special and blessed by God because they are living comfortably...See my sig, it might give you a clue to the reality...

Where’s edsinger? He should be in here too. He would be a great addition to this thread.

Everyone who has spoken to god or heard him speak, I WANT THEM HERE. Lets tell some good ol Christian campfire stories.

Does he have plans for you? Did he tell you when the world will come to a wondrous burning end? Does he tell you your needed? Are you waiting to be blessed with riches, happiness, and leisure? He could say anything! I want to hear god and all of his glory. What about Jesus? Does he say anything?

Do tell.

That is not nice. I NEVER said that. OR assumed it.

All the people you mentioned worked for what they have. They earned it. Blessed by God? I would like to hope so, but I have no idea.

What I do know is that contrary to what you believe, I was once dirt poor. I lived in my car, and scrounged around to get enough money for a burrito from taco bell, which I could only typically buy once a week, twice if I was lucky. The rest of the money I had, I spent on gas to get me to school and back. It sucked. So I totaly gave my life to God. I said "here you go, Im obviously not doing a very good job, so my life is yours do with it what you see fit." After that, I continued to work my ars off to make what I could. Next thing I know I met my husband. Things started working out, and I was able to eat every day, and make ends meet (barely). Then one day, I had $20 in my pocket. It was all the money I had to my name. I saw someone who needed it more. SO, with total faith, I gave them the $20. That was the only money I had, and wouldnt be getting anymore for a while, but I knew what it was like to scrounge around for food. Later on with in 24 hours, I came across more money.

What I am trying to say, is that if you look out for his other children, and take nothing for granted, you will always be taken care of. If you always give selflessly, you will always be taken care of.

The life I have now is the life God gave me. If something were to happen, and tomorow, we had no money, food, no home, nothing....I would not worry. Because I KNOW that he will take care of me.

I might be living comfy right now, but I have no attachment to material objects. I know that If I had no THING, I would still be happy, maybe even more so. Because I KNOW what life is about. I KNOW what is important, and cars, cell phones, bling, isnt it. It is very difficult for a person who is filthy rich to understand that. To be honest, I dont think they would be filthy rich if they did. If I was given $50 mil today, I would only keep enough to make ends meet. The rest would go to those who NEED it.

People are not blessed with money. They are blessed with understanding, wisdom, and love.

I have?

He speaks through the Bible as you read it.

He speaks through believers.

He can even speak through the unsaved to a certain degree.

He speaks during prayer(prayer is talking to God and not some mystical endeaver).

He speaks through creation.

A specific instance( a major defining moment) in my life in abbreviated form. My mom got breast cancer several years back. I had been praying that she would be OK. During a literal thunderstorm, God got my attention through the storm by controlling it in a certain way, I then asked Him what He wanted. Without a doubt, He spoke not audibly but upon my spirit these exact words, "You want me to save your mom, then listen to Me".

I will never ever forget that experience or those exact words.

That experience was the first time I heard God. That moment and others are also a confirmation of my salvation in Jesus Christ. That is also why I want others saved, because God and eternity with Him or seperated from Him are real, and I don't want any to be lost for all of eternity in hell.
