Hmmm... There's so many places to go

I heard that Iceland if a great country, but I don't know if you want a vacation of partying all the time, or if you're more into learning other cultures and stuff

Try the southwest US. If you are used to seeing vast closed spaces around Manhattan, try vast open spaces of nothingness. You will definitely remember it forever and be in awe of pristine landscape (hardly) touched by man. See what a huge space feels like with nothing there but you, the earth, and whatever higher power feels like speaking to you. Of course there are good accomodations nearby if you wish.

St Petersburg in Russia is an amazing place,I went there on a stag do and the architecture is simply amazing.
The people on the whole are quite courteous and, without sounding too shallow, the ladies are pretty too.

Whats your interests?

I love WW2 history,
Normandy Beach's / towns, Auschwitz, Berlin, Hiroshima and Nagasaki are all awesome places to visit, and the locals rock.
Do somethign amazing, like hire a scooter and zoom around rome for a week, its cheap fun and hectic...
Or hire some scuba gear and go diving off the great barrier?
Hell, buy some mountain trekking gear and head into Switzerland... hikking a mountain then snowboarding takes away the stress...

what ever you do, maek sure its exciting.

nothing worse than going on holiday to sit in your 'western' hotel, eating your 'western' food while mingling with other 'western' tourists.

enjoy the culture and the nature it has to offer.

there is this majestic place, surrounded by the mediterranean.
if your a beach lover, its definately for you.
the place is called: san vito lo capo, its located in the north western quadrant of Sicily.
there are quite a fews ways to get there, the shortest being: flying from the u.s to rome/milan, taking an adjoining flight to palermo and taking a cab (will cost roughly $100) into the town of san vito.
once there you wont need a car etc.
june thru august is the height of the season but june is far less hot.
june is still verrrry hot but august is simply sweltering.
every nite in the summer there is entertainment if so desired, there are many villas and such too, if need to rent.
large assortment of restaurants featuring mostly italian/sicilian cuisine.
marine close by, lighthouse, most magnificant beach, and the town itself is very clean, fresh, beachy, and simply splendid.

Any resort on the Costa Rica Coast. Good food, booze, good beaches, jungle hikes, volcanos and all kinds of stuff you will see no where else! 9 days is about a good length of time.

I think one of the most amazing places I have been so far is Istanbul. That city really impressed me in its history, architecture, and culture. I was thee for work so I got to go pretty high end which was nice...I stayed in a hotel that is rated #5 in the world, flew business on Lufthansa, got to take a sunset cruise on a private yacht up the Bosphorus, had dinner at a country club that over-looked the city...I was completely spoiled. I only had 2 days there and didn't get to do nearly enough sight-seeing since I was in meetings the whole time. But the bit that I did get to see was really amazing. I love traveling to places like beaches and islands where I will spend my entire trip sleeping, reading, eating and relaxing, but I am much more impressed by places that have so much history and culture.

Oslo Norway, just Awesome, nahh it is not.
Oslo is like an city from the 17th century with a few new high rises..

But the fauna here is nice if you go up in mid-Norway..

Spend a couple of days at Estes Park, north of Denver in the Rockies, any B&B would be good.

Then take a couple of days at Grand Canyon, reserve a rim cabin with fireplace.

In between, if you have time, drive through Death Valley.

Yellowstone National Park?

Grand Tetons?

Actually if you want the vacation and want to be around people I would recommend Jackson Hole Wyoming! Beautiful forest and rivers, plus if you go in the winter they have a great ski resort!

South Pedro Island is really fun.

Or an obvious choice... ALASKA

Have Fun

I have always wanted to visit Ireland. Something about all those rolling hills of green really draw me. I have never seen such an amazing shade of green in my life. I have never been there before, just the pictures really captivate me.
