My cats went berserk on my keyboard and now the start bar that's usually going along the bottom of my desktop is now taking up the whole right half of my screen top to bottom.

How do I freakin' restore it to the way it was?????

Peace

Just mouse over the top and a little two way arrow should appear. Then move it down.

Im not too sure about this, but try putting your mouse over the bar.....left click and hold.....then drag to the bottom of your screen.

Well I have Windows XP and I'm not sure if it only works for that, but for me first uncheck "lock the taskbar" (By right clicking the taskbar you should see a menu), then left click a blank area of the taskbar and drag it down.

The problem is that I only get a horizontal two-way arrow and not a vertical one.

I've tried everything suggested so far and nothing works.

Peace

You don't need any arrows. Make sure the task bar is not locked, click and hold on the center and drag it to the bottom. (There will be no animation while you drag it BTW).

Not at the edge, just at a blank spot. No arrows should appear.

Ok now I see what yall are saying. I dragged it down to the bottom but it's still double the height that it was.

Use the "Progman" in the Windows folder, click on it and you'll get a Windows 3.1 desktop for your Windows. Sure you'll love it!
