I tossed that around for awhile, and came to a logical guestimate that predators looking for a sacrifice, would probably stick to easier targets such as orphans, or children of illegals, or streetkids...

WASHINGTON — A man arrested in Thailand is being held in connection with the slaying of JonBenet Ramsey, U.S. law enforcement officials said Wednesday.
Federal officials familiar with the case, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the man was being held in Bangkok on unrelated sex charges.

While there's no excusing the murder of JonBenet (or any child) I've always felt the parents were complicit in this crime because of the the ridiculous "pageants" she was constantly being paraded around in. The poor kid never had a childhood, and that glamour crap is one step away from child porn IMO.

Federal law enforcement sources identified the suspect as John Karr, a 41-year-old second grade teacher. Karr is already being held in Bangkok on unrelated sex charges.
A police source tells FOX News' Carol McKinley that Karr has been sending e-mails to people close to the case for the last three or four years, saying horrific things about what happened to JonBenet in her final minutes

John Mark Karr claims to have drugged her and had sex with her. But the autopsy revealed no drugs in her system. DNA tests run through the FBI database also produced no matches. His ex-wife says that he was with her in Alabama at the time of the murders and does not believe he was the killer.
