Yeah, well maybe a hybrid or riding mass transit works if you are a city dweller and only need to commute to work. But for the millions of us that
don't live in the bigger cities, a larger vehicle makes more sense. How? First, I live out in the country, miles from the grocery store and a 50
mile round trip to a Home Depot. With a SUV, I can carry more which allows me to combine trips. It would be an interesting study to see which
scenario uses more fuel and pollutes more - your little hybrid making more (city driving) trips and requiring the use of diesel delivery trucks since
it can't hold much, or my SUV/pickup truck making less (highway driving) trips and handling all my business.
You see, there are other circumstances besides just your own to consider when you make this kind of blanket pronouncement that
you have
discovered the "solution"
and now everyone else just needs to adopt your way of doing things.
My solution is simply for you to just do what works for you and let others decide for themselves based on their own needs and circumstances. If we
decide we do need your advice, we'll send you a U2U. How's that?
