Hello

I'm not the best with computers or the lingo, so let me break this down in Sporty terms....

Whenever I go to hotmail, yahoo, google, even ATS and enter something into any field (log-in field, search field, etc...) a history of what I've entered before comes up below the box...sort of like a scroll feature.

Is there a way to delete that history? I've tried deleting cookies, history, internet files and it's still there. I don't want to get rid of the feature, i just want to delete what's been previously entered and start over from scratch.

Thanks,

Sporty

Click Tools and Internet Options menu, go to Content tab, click AutoComplete button, then click Clear Forms or Clear Passwords buttons.

ufia, thanks a bunch man

I did a google search before asking, but the key words were too broad (history, auto, button) so I came up with all kinds of wierd trash.

Anyways, thanks again....

ufia gives sound advice. Also, consider the following "tightening measures"; Try TweakUI (different versions for XP, W98 etc.)... the "Explorer" field has some "history" and "recent" whacking adjustments as an option.

In Internet Options in IE, Advanced Tab, uncheck "use inline-Autocomplete" and check "Close unused folders in History and Favorites and check "Empty Temporary Internet Files folder when browser is closed.
