CBS's Mike Wallace: Iranian President Ahmadinejad IS NOT an anti-semite

CBS's Mike Wallace has interviewed Iranian President Ahmadinejad for 60 minutes. Wallace was interviewed about the interview on talk-radio by Sean Hannity. In the Hannity interview Wallace corrected the mainstream image of Ahmadinejad and of what the man believes.

The 88-year-old Wallace, who is semi-retired, traveled to interview the Iranian president, whom he described as "impressive," "interesting" and "obviously smart as hell."

In an interview with talk-radio host Sean Hannity, Wallace defended Ahmadinejad's actions and statements. In the transcript posted on Radio Blogger, Wallace said the Iranian leader's comments about wiping Israel off the map aren't horrific.

"Yes, he says wipe off the map, and of course I asked him over and over about that," said Wallace. "He says in effect, hey, it's perfectly sensible to do … pardon me. It's perfectly sensible for them … it's perfectly sensible, if there is a Holocaust, and let's buy the fact that there was a Holocaust. Where did the Holocaust take place? Did it take place in an Arab neighborhood? Did it take place in Jerusalem? No. It took place in Germany. Then it seems to me, under those circumstances, take Israel, the Zionist entity, he called it, move it to Germany. Move it to Europe. That's where it happened."

Hannity pressed Wallace further by accusing President Ahmadinejad of being anti-semitic.

Wallace said Ahmadinejad doesn't like the United States because it is supporting Israel, however, he is not anti-Semitic.

"So you don't think he's an anti-Semite?" said Hannity.

"He himself, an anti-Semite, an anti-Jew ... anti-Jew?" said Wallace.

"Yes," said Hannity.

"No, I don't," said Wallace.

All of which fits the picture of Iran, the nation with the largest population of jewish people in the Middle East outside of Israel. Iran, and it's leader, are not anti-semitic and it's is pure slander to say otherwise. Criticism of Israel and of Zionism is not anti-semitic. Let's hope the mainstream can be freed of its misrepresentations by interviews such as this. Misrepresentations concocted directly by Ahmadinejad's enemies.

Yep!!! He's actually and all around good guy. I dont see what all the hype is these days surrounded him. He sounds very articulate and rational to me. If only all the leaders in the mid-east were like him and everything would be okay.

He's somewhat older than dirt.

If you look back in his early personal archives he also did an interview with Adolf Hitler. Many came away with a similar impression that Adolf was also misquoted. Fortunately, Wallace was also there to set the record straight.

As everybody on this earth exept the zionists, he believe that there shouldn't be double standarts. That Israël isn't the chosen people. That a jew isn't better than everybody else. Funny, but there are plenty of Jews in Iran, and they seem to have been still alive last I checked. IIRC a Jewish member of the Iranian Parliament recently took Ahmadinejad to task for his comments on the Holocaust, and he seems to still be alive. One presumes that if the Iranians' aim was to "kill every Jew", they wouldn't have so many of them walking around.

Supporters of Israel like to hide behind accusations of anti-semitism when they run out of arguments, but opposition to the Israeli state and it's actions is not the same as "hatred of Jews". One is a country, the other is a religion.

Just as it's possible to oppose the radical Iranian Islamic theocracy without hating Muslims, so is it possible to oppose Israel, a militaristic Western colony in the Mideast, without hating Jews.

I have the greatest respect for Ahmadinejad, one of the few world leaders not entangled in the globalists web. I admire his courage to stand up to the globalist plan, their imperialistic plan for a world government. Yea you never hear any of that eh, you only hear how he said how he wants "Israel wiped off the map" because he knows its was forged and created illegally!

Kudos to Mike Wallace who had the courage to come out and say Ahmadinejad is not anti-semetic, hes anti-zionist and anti-imperialism, which we all should be.

Oh what walls has Iran built surrounding Jews ?Are there preferential roads that Iranians use that jews in Iran can't? Are Iranian Jews subjected to illegal blockades ? Do jews have curfews in Iran? Do jews come outside and have Iranian tanks facing them in the face every day? What houses of Jews have Iranians been bulldozing? Has Iran confiscated Jewish taxes from Jewish Ports somewhere? Are Iranians dumping solid wastes as well as toxic wastes in jewish backyards and properties?Are Iranians culling sick poultry and then burying them on jewish lands?
