I mean there's been no news for the past two days.

So that must mean that there have been no rocket attacks and no Israeli (sic - make that US) bombs falling on Lebanon for the last 48 hours right? And what about that big Israeli ground offensive?

Funny how a purported terrorist plot has completely moved the Lebanon story off of the 24 hour news cycle coverage. And as a bonus we get to point fingers at vocal critics of the US/UK government as being linked to terrorist.

Funny how so many people can be so easily manipulated into changing their focus from real live events to "what if's" and "alleged" events without any actual event taking place.

I'm sure it's all just a big coinkidink. Or maybe the Lebabon situation has resolved itself and we just didn't notice?

I still see stuff going on in Lebanon from Haaretz news site. The one thing that has taken a big backseat is Iraq , Afghanistan and Palestine attacks.

They IDF/IAF are doing a job on them pretty much in Palestine and no one is noticing. Killing dozens of civilians almost daily.

I also noticed it, but for one time I tried to be not the conspiracy theorist, after all it was just for one or two days that the media focused its attention solely on the UK terror happening.

It's not over till the shooting stops, but actually there seems to be an agreement:
CNN: U.N. vote on Lebanon cease-fire resolution expected

Check the news websites, the broadcasts are just going to focus exclusively on whatever they think will get them the biggest ratings.

Looks now like less of a war, more of an invasion:

Lebanon had objected to the absence in the previous version of an explicit call for the withdrawal of Israeli troops and the powers of a new UN force to be deployed in the south of the country.

In contrast, the US and Israel favoured a withdrawal only after the deployment of a robust international force.

As the diplomats finalised the draft, Israel radio was saying that troops had been ordered to seize ground as far as the strategic Litani River.

The slaughter continues:

Israeli officials said they were still gearing up for an expansion of the army's ground offensive in Lebanon, although it could be halted at any time if a resolution was passed.

There was no let-up in violence. Israeli attacks killed at least 22 people in Lebanon on Friday, including three killed when a drone fired rockets at a convoy of cars fleeing the south. An Israeli soldier was reported killed in fighting and Hizbollah rockets wounded seven people in northern Israel.

What war......?

I ain't seen nothing on MTV or VH1.

Edit: Actually, I have to agree I said the same to my partner. Blanket coverage of the plot on BBC News 24, where as the day before blanket coverage of Israel murdering the Lebanese. I assumed that the Israeli's had agreed to stop until the BBC gave them some attention again.

Round 1 - 12 July thru 12 August

Round 2 - as soon as Israel upgrades to 'missiles' instead of bombs from jets...
and uncrates all the 'smart-Bunker Buster' bombs they've been receiving.........
(but they won't use them all, as they need a model to copy from)

Round 3: unk, as Hezbollah has been ordained the MuslimNation Army by the Persian Supreme Leader, and must enter a 'martyr' phase before any cease fire- (if there ever will be a cease fire) - Additionally the SL & the mullahs/ religious mentors have spoken of 'hojjatieh', if that is important.

UN cease fire plan should be decided on tonight at 7:00 PM eastern US time. Sounds like the US & France have agreed on the text and its finalized and will be voted on at the UN tonight. it also sounds like the terms are acceptable to both Israel and Lebanon (with consultation with Hezbollah) so yes, the war in lebanon may be wrapping up very soon!!

I saw a bit on the news today that made me chuckle.

Remember how Israel is saying its telling civilians to leave the area's before they attack?

You know what they also told civilians?(and an earlyer post here showed that they actualy do just blow cars of the road for being there)

That the civilians can't use cars or any other form of motorized transportation or they'll be subject to bombing.

How the heck can these people leave the area when Israel doesn't just fire on their vehicules if they use any, but also took out bridges, roads and all other important transportation methods?

You keep hearing the rockets because they keep getting the bombs.

IAF drone strikes refugee convoy; 7 reported dead, 36 wounded

By News agencies

An Israel Air Force drone fired missiles Friday night into a convoy of refugees fleeing attacks in the southern town of Marjayoun, killing at least seven people and wounding 36 others, an Associated Press photographer traveling with the convoy said.

The Israeli army confirmed it carried out an air strike on the convoy, saying it had acted on the mistaken suspicion Hezbollah guerrillas were smuggling weapons in the vehicles.

"The attack was carried out based on a suspicion. It was found to be incorrect," an Israel Defense Forces spokeswoman said. The IDF said
it had not granted permission for the convoy.

Consider yourself lucky that you can still sit there on the internet . Those people died just trying to escape and needed israeli permission to live apparently.

They've been hitting any moving vehicle, including cars, trucks, ambulances, and even motorcycles. If I have to go hunt for pictures, I will. It's a free-fire zone, and civilians seem make up the bulk of the targets.

They seem to like the ambulances particularly, using the red cross on top as a handy aimpoint. This has been documented repeatedly.

and the blood hungry pilot will waste a part of his payload on some random moving target ? yeah, right....

seems you have no sense on how Airforce works.

anyway,If it is in an area that was told to run away, I debut that the target was a "peacefull civilien"

Thos "peacefull civiliens " allow to store weapons and ammunition in thiere own homes...
are thos peace wanting civiliens? that KNOW thos weapons will be used by terrorists .....

1. Yes it's basically over, that's why no news

2. The terrorist story was a much bigger story and would have affected Americans directly, so of course the news is going to talk about that.

Israeli forces battled Hizbollah guerrillas in a push deeper into Lebanon on Saturday and up to 17 Israeli soldiers were reported killed, as both sides said they would obey a U.N. resolution on a truce
