The best TV musical theme of all time

Some had lyrics, some didn't but the sole melody was enough.
There are some classics like Hawaii 5-0, Knight Rider, Spiderman's original cartoon... etc.

So which one is your favourite...

My faves are McGyver, The A Team & The Thundercats

The original Doctor Who theme, hands down. I'm an old git of 36 now and it still gives me goose bumps and a compulsion to hide behind the setee!

Love the new BSG theme too though

I like that Monorail song and the stonecutters song from the simpsons

My favourite theme was the Equalizer..

Edward Woodward kicked posterior in that which was amazing considering how old he was.

"The Avengers" theme by Laurie Johnson for me. Simply the essence of British cool and wit.

Although Creeping Jesus's above nomination for Stewart Copeland's "The Equalizer" theme is one I'd second also.

I'm gonna have to go with a toss up between the "taxi" theme angela's theme and the "lonely man" theme from the incredible hulk "lonely man"

both very haunting in there own way, and add some quality to the shows to be sure.

I vote for the opening music on "Dead Like Me"

That's a tough one, since I've been a tv junkie since I was just a toddler heres my top five:

1 Adams Family
2 Good Times
3 Happy days
4 WKRP in Cincinati
5 Batman

I do also like the jazzy opening to dead like me and of course the original doctor who theme is a classic.

My favs'd be The Rockford Files and Jan Hammer's Miami Vice theme. Both went top 10 in the charts if I'm not mistaken... one more the theme from NASA-TV interludes... dah dah dah dah ding dong ding dang ding dang dong - bloody infectious - now how am I gonna get to sleep with THAT stuck in a cranial do-loop?
