Link shortening

Could someone kindly link me to thread discussing how to shorten links. I saw it once
but now when I search all I get is my post saying I dont know how to shorten them.

Use this button when adding a link to a post.


First it will ask "What name Should be shown" Then enter something short in the field. Then hit ok and it ill ask for the URL.

For example Link shortening.

Tags The Old-Fashioned Way

You can also shorten links manually by using the [url] tags.

For example, the tags for the URL Umbrax posted look like this:

[url=http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=220559]Link shortening[/url]

Of course whatever works best for you is the way to go, but with all the posting I do, I find inserting tags manually to be fastest and easiest.




P.S. To see how tags were used in a particular post, just hit the "Quote" button and all the secrets will be revealed.
