Sen. Joe Lieberman's website hacked

In shades of Watergate 2006, Senator Joseph Lieberman (D-CT) has had his website hacked into. The website, home for his re-election effort, was rendered inaccessible to online visitors.

Savvy computer hackers have apparently worked their mischief on Sen. Joe Lieberman?s senatorial re-election campaign Web site, lieberman2006.com, as voters go to the polls in Connecticut for the Democratic primary election.


According to the Lieberman campaign, the Web site, which has served as an online home for Lieberman?s re-election effort, has been sabotaged by computer hackers, rendering the Web address inaccessible to online visitors.



"There is no website (sic) configured at this address? is the message that greets visitors to Lieberman2006.com, rather than the online campaign literature that Lieberman hopes will persuade voters to vote for him in the Aug. 8 primary election.

As most people know, Lieberman has been in a fierce re-election bid for his senatorial seat. His main opponent is Ned Lamont, who has been attacking Senator Lieberman for being too close to President Bush and too hawkish in his views on the Iraq war.

It would be a shame if those responsible for this deed went undiscovered and unpunished. Sen. Lieberman is a dedicated civil servant, and one of the few politicians willing to reach across the aisle and work with Republicans for solutions to our problems.

He has been trailing Lamont in the polls, but has gained momentum and closed the gap in recent days.

I don't beleive that for one second. It is most likely a technical error.

Without knowing why you would never entertain the possibility, all I can say is, time will tell.

Lieberman is a sadly misguided soul..or, more malevolently, a complete hypocrite. Bush and his gang have destroyed as much of the Constitution as they could, as they've spent us into the poorhouse, waged an illegal war, and tried to make the presidency into a monarchy. The Congress has been an accomplice, and the "Supreme Court" has decided to become a tool for the executive branch. We're in deep doodoo, partially because the "Fourth Estate"(press) has become a marketing-driven business, with no interest in their responsibility to search for, and reveal, the truth. It's pretty much over. All news is now "breaking news", which means every fact and event is given equal weight. There's no analysis, no perspective, no judgement. Every and all issues are relegated to the mindless "he said/she said" hole, whereby citizens are left to "vote" on the "winner". Therefore, uninformed opinion is to be taken as "consensus". Meanwhile, there has been and will be, massive electronic fraud in the voting booths(see New Mexico and Ohio in 2004)as BushCo takes our freedom and liberty away. Wake up!!

Who would view his being a Democrat and speaking at the RNC on a Republicans behalf as a bad thing? How about every angry lefty in the country.

BTW, has anyone noticed the political news section here looks like a shopping list for the DNC? Every topic is against McCain and the few that were started opposite were quickly shuttled away to obscurity while over 8 topics about the same woman (Palin) remain.
