No, Iran will be alone, and the date of the 22nd has been flying on the net after the UN gave Iran till the end of the month to stop production of nuclear materials.

And the nut job in Iran made a statement about a light seen in Jerusalem in the night sky on 8-22 some sort of prediction from the koran.

To me it sounds like Iran will test a neuclear weapon on the 22nd, and possibly No. Korea will start a fight with So. korea and or Japan to stir the pot, and Syria will get involved somewhere in Lebanon fighting Israel.

The next month sould be interesting to say trhe least.

Iran fly under the radar? That can't be! They aren't that sophisticated, savvy, or goal oriented to be capable of subterfuge. Especially about their cetrifuge. (he he) All "no proof" says to me is that Iran is capable of operating as a major player in world politics and economics.

This isn't about hating America. Its about recognizing that Iran is has its own designs and means, and have traditionally been key in causing regional instability. This non-threatening Iranian regime is the same one that an army of unarmed children into the teeth of Iraqi guns, then made a fountain flowing red water to represent their blood to celebrate their sacrifice.

Don't underestimate Ahmadinejad.

As it is not the Western Powers, nor in specific the US or Israel who put forth the 8/22/06 date.... I think we can expect SOMETHING to happen. I'm not an adherent to armageddon theories, but if Iran opts for a a massive escalation in the region... things will get very ugly. Comparisons to August 1914 are not without merit, only the potential destruction has changed

I really don't think Iran would shoot off a nuke at Israel. It would not make sense. Who knows. Another date to look for I guess.

I am laughing that so many people are so desperate to keep Israel placed so high on a pedastal that they will believe this tripe not once but 2 times within a decade. Who is doing that likes, I dont agree with either side in this war too many innocent people are bing killed on both sides, both countries are in the wrong. Just because leaders of some countries support israel or lebanon, does not mean that the public do. If you have seen the protests here in the UK over the past couple of weeks alot of people are disgusted with what is happening in that region and also disgusted with the UK's Gov's stance on supporting Israel. Ahmedinajad (sp) would never nuke Isreal. If he did he would destroy the holy sites of all three religions. If a religious nut wanted to spark armeggedon, do you really think he start by destroying his own religions holy sites? He doesn't even have the bomb yet! If he did he would let us know because that would make him as untouchable as North Korea is today.

Like you said, for starters Iran doesnt even have the bomb. At the most hyped and optimistic "predictions" of the United States and Israel, Iran is atleast 5 to 10 years away from a nuclear weapon. That is of course assuming that Iran has a nuclear weapons program which is far from a proven fact. The IAEA doesnt think Iran has a nuclear weapons program and the only countries that do think Iran does offer nothing more than speculation and conjecture.

But facts have never got in the way of propaganda! They'll continue to paint Ahmadinejad in a Hitleresque manner until they get the balls to start a nuclear "pre-emptive strike' then they'll fall back on this propaganda foundation that they've cultivated over decades.

US will attack Iran before the congress elections. . . unless they pretty much know that the congress will stay in Republican hands, something that as a conspiracy believer I have the feeling that may happen because the powers supporting an invasion of Iran will ensure that congress stays in Republican hands.

You are right, Israel never signed the NPT. They sign nothing that could ever restrain their desires.

But Iran has maintained it does not have a nuclear weapons program. The IAEA has said there is no evidence pointing to an Iranian nuclear weapons program. But if Iran did want to pursue a nuclear weapons program it needs only to give 60 days notice to the UN of its intentions then it can legally withdraw from the NPT and proceed lawfully.

That is the inherent problem with the NPT. It is a purely voluntary agreement that nations sign on to. The reason other non-nuclear nations sign on to the NPT and forgo their access to nuclear weapons is due to the nuclear armed nations committment to disarm their nuclear arsenals. But the nuclear group will not completely disarm their arsenals so what is in it for the non-nuclear nations? Nothing thats what. They will be blackmailed, bullied and invaded ala Afghanistan and Iraq.

I personally dont think Iran has a nuclear weapons program but I think they're crazy to stay in the NPT. They should withdraw from the NPT and gain a deterent against unchecked Israeli and American hegemony in the region.

Hardly congruent with the "he's a blood thirsty jew hater" argument presented to Americans daily from the biased mainstream media. I highly recommend every one read that interview quoted above. It is very illuminating as to Ahmadinejad's demeanor and goals, none of which is killing Jews in Israel.

a figure head with very little power. I suspect he has influence, but I think the

Iran bought 2 nukes off of Kazhakstan back in the early 90's but no one seems to know if they are operational or not.
