Soldier Faces Cowardice Charges

I just read this article and it made me angry. Let me know what you all think...please.

A soldier with Fort Carson�s 10th Special Forces Group has been charged with cowardice for allegedly refusing to do his duty in Iraq.

if it's true how is commanding officers treated him, thats a sad sad situation to be in , on the other hand, we may not be getting the whole story and he just might be guilty of more than this.. we may just never know?

Thats wrong.. now if he were to drop his gun and run behind a truck or wall pointing at the mangled body than by all means.

Yeah, well if I told my boss to go a fly a kite, and I'm not going to do my job...I'd be fired.

He knew what he was getting into, and that he may have to fight in a war that he didn't agree with, when he signed on...tough titties...

Ahh...nix that, here's the crux of it...

"He is not a Green Beret but was attached to a team of Green Berets for this mission."

Intel boys are always gettin' these guys killed with faulty intelligence...this was payback...

I agree that his career in that field was in jeapardy. Mainly because if he could not handle it, he should not be there. The comments form his superiors are just outragous. Not everybody can handle death and seeing a corpse. In court he should fight for an honerable discharge. There is no way other members of the military are going to treat him with respect if he stays. And if he goes on another mission, he won't be trusted to help his troop.

So much for being honest.

But he didn't tell his boss to go fly a kite. He simply stated that he was having problems coping and that he needed help. He even wanted to stay on duty.

No matter tha outcome, he will never get a high ranking position in the military again.
