Mentalism

I was watching Cris Angel and he kept reffering to mentalism when we thinks of a word a person is thinking or if a person draws a picture etc. I looked up mentalism

and on wiki it is described as a trick and not a psychic ability.

However I have not been able to come across any method.

Last night some of you may have seen the show where he was in a psychic book shop and told the girl to go pick a word in a book and close the booka nd come back to him. he than answered the word she was thinking of. Many tricks are very good but some I just can't understand.

Can anyone explain to me some examples of mentalism and how it is done.

He is all fake, on his body splitting video, it was filmed in seperate parts using cloaking devices. If he really did split that girls body in the park then the people who were interviewed would of been totaly stunned and freaked out instead of being calm and lauging.

Yeah when he did that to the lady in the park it seemed like a midget in the lower half and as far as the upper it could of been a midget with arm extensions or just an severe amputee.

The mentalism got me though. There is an answer to many but I am hard pressed on this one.
