All the point you made are good and valid, but something else I think you need to consider is every time a middle eastern laeder wanted to be viewed as a supreem leader of the middle eastern reagon, they always atacked Isreal. Red, well you might be right. But personally, I think Iran has no intentions to launch a nuclear weapon. If so, they'll probably do it in a clandestine way. For instance by detonating a dirty bomb in Israel. Not being executed by Hezbollah, as it would inevitably lead to accusations by Israel and the US against Iran. If Iran is clever, they make it look like they have nothing to do with it, and blame a terrorist organization such as Al Qaeda. In this way Israel and the US would not have a justifiable claim to attack Iran, no international support and probably no campaign in Iraq.
I think Ahmedinejad is not mad or crazy or whatever the indoctrinated lunatics call him. I think Ahmedinejad is really intelligent, he knows what he is doing. He is not looking for the total destruction of Israel, although he probably wouldn't regret it. An Iranian nuclear attack would definitely lead to a counter nuclear attack by Israel and/or the US, and thus to the destruction of Iran. Iran wants to become powerful, not getting destructed, that’s why I am quite sure they will not fire nuclear missiles on Israel.

Well in a round about way you did not deny that Iran would use a nuke on Isral. You did also agreed that it would be done by way of useing a Terror group to take the blame. Just probably not Hezbollah since they already support them so heavely. Generally speaking this situation is probably a valid one. It is unforchant that the people of Lebonan are paying for the meglomania of the leaders of the middle east with there lives.

Mdv2, I have to agree with what you are saying. Iran will not use a nuke if the meer detonation of a nuke would have the potential of turning off it's NATO allies. Iran has not had enought time to make enough weapons fissil material to use yet from what we believe. I think they would just launch a direct precision strike to create enough panic that would cripple Isreal before they could do anything. Lebanan may have been their testing ground to observe the IDF in action.
