Was Bush to be assassinated on 911

Was President Bush to be assassinated on 911 by middle eastern men the same as was attempted and modeled on the one used on Afghan leader Ahmed Massoud two days earlier.

Wouldn't an attack on the president, which would have a small chance of success, make the rest of the 911 attacks much more difficult?

The article notes that the van of 'men of middle eastern descent' ( Considering that people in texas will beat a sikh to death mistaking them for arabs, I can't consider that ID as particularly meaningful) were able to watch the presidential motorcade pass by, so clearly the intent wasn't to snipe at him or fire an RPG or rocket or something. If there was a plot, it'd've probably been to detonate a huge volume of explosives within the van when the president got close, for the 'interview'.

But, the problem with that is, after calling off the assasination, these terrorists do what exactly? I mean, Al Qaida managed to fund and equip a cell to get that close to the president, and then has no other plans for it? Clearly not, if that van was full of explosives, it'd've taken up a target of oppurtunity after the 911 attacks were underway, or any time in the years following it.

So there maybe a van full of explosives parked in a rented garage or storage facility. I remember hearing an interview with an expert on the Middle East and one of his statements struck home. I'm paraphrasing here but it went something like this "You cannot judge the actions of someone from the Middle East by what you would do because their thought process are different because of their being raised in a different society." I still firmly believe that there were more planes that were supposed to have been hijacked on 9-11 but, were not because of the shut down in air travel that day. My reasoning behind this is that I don't think that the hijackers took time zones into consideration during their planning.

By now, most everyone knows President George W. Bush began that fateful day, Sept. 11, on Longboat Key, but the FBI is now investigating whether terrorists also began that fateful day here on the island.

Both of your responces were good but neither related to the incident, as we all have heard and seen no one was prepared or taking notice of the highjacked planes or either this incident. And if you read all the days timeline one would have to wonder why Bush was out of the loop that day, surely not because of his IQ but taking it up another notch. Anytime some unknown persons attempt to see the President in a out of the way place bells start ringing due to the Standing Operational procedures for Secret Service members. Bush flying for hours in circles and no escort of fighter planes should make one ask what really was going on in those bunkers led by cheney and his fellow neocons. A van filled with explosives was not the intended form of assissination but the one where you have to get close just like two days before in afagan with the news interview and the shooting from the camera as the death weapon. As said before this story is not in the 911 commission file because they probably have not heard about it. There is still a story here that is part of the 911 day, Go back and read the full time line. Nygdan stated onsidering texans would beat a skih to death has little to do with florida and it attitudes toward people. People of middle eastern fetures could be anyone even israeli or iraqi. Why do you think al quida was involved. Jimc5499 may be right since fthere was to be 11 planes per the phillipines intel msgs from 97. I really don't think a van full of explosives, guns or rpg was intended just these two trained members using a camera gun. War by deception is this war and dots are hard to connect one has to wade through the swamp of information to get to the next dot. Regardless this is an unanswered story and just who those two person were.

Except this was in Florida.

Anyway, its a curiosity that has never really gotten that much investigation. I would have thought the secret service should have been alot more worried about this.

What a joke! I won't justify this thread's ridicoulous question w/ an answer. But I will say that any one without an agenda and an independent mind, who examines the events sorrounding 9/11, (W/out the aid of the Corporate Media) knows that their is not only evidence suggesting Bush's criminal foreknowledge of 9/11, but even complicite involvement in insuring the attack was successful.

9/11 was the best thing that ever happened to Bush. It turned what would've been the biggest joke in American Presidential history into, "The War President". The political equivalent of a Teflon Don.

I cannot understand why if there are moderators on this site and this site is susspose to be real about finding out about what happened on 911 they would let you attack a thread and person without asking you not do that. If you can read go to the long boat and read, else put your tin hat back on and enjoy your remarks because it was a highjack thread and did nothing to state if the article is real. Why do people come here to debate whether a fact is real or a conspiracy or not. It beats me when in several thread i get attacked and nothing happens. Am I not to address why I posted a article that men in a van of middle eastern descent attempted to see bush for a interview and yes the FBI interviewed two men of that description. What am I to think about highjacking a thread and then state that no one should read it as though that was a threat or accusing me of posting information no one here has ever read about 911 or stating I was a misinformation agent. Everything here is getting one sided and just like 911 its hard to handle if you bury the truth. Its to bad I was really enjoying the site.
