This is not a story... it actually happens and I will challenge ANY scientists that wish to verify my claims!

EVERY day when I wake up, I make my way to the bathroom, turn on the lights and do my thing. Now if you happen to be male maybe you could recognize what I’m talking about. Just about the time I'm finishing up, I get a shiver that comes from the bottom of my feet and goes up my back and out my head. At the same time the lights go dim and flicker for a couple of seconds. You can actually hear the current of electricity being interrupted.
It is my personal experience this only happens with florescent lights. Although I have had some other weird things happen to. I was explaining this "effect" to my cousin, he said bull%$^ I got mad and the power went out, kind of. All of the appliances including the comp I was working on shut off, but the lights ALL just dimmed, like they were on a dimmer and all hooked up to the same switch.

For the skeptic: I have had 3 Journey men electricians look over everything in my house and they said that what I described COULD NOT HAPPEN! But all 3 of them have seen it with their own eyes.
Also this happens no matter where I am! Not just in my house.
I cannot control this, as I have no idea how it works.

Let me know if this happens to you as well. If it hasn't happened to you.
Pay Attention

I want to be absolutely clear. Don't post your arguments. This happens! And nothing anyone says will change that.
I just want to know how many other people have this experience.

I'm assuming that you mean masturbation when you say 'do my thing'.

I get a shiver that comes from the bottom of my feet and goes up my back and out my head.

Yes, that exactly describes the point of a male orgasm.

At the same time the lights go dim and flicker for a couple of seconds.

Hmmm, when you orgasm, do you close your eyes?
Cause that would explain why the lights dimmed for a few seconds cause well your eyes flicker shut.
Had you said minutes, maybe, but seconds....thats just your eyes.
Its not the lights its the eyes.

You can actually hear the current of electricity being interrupted.

Again, while masturbating your blood pressure increases, thus the noise you hear is the extra blood pumping in your ears.

I'm sorry to disillusion you or break any hopeful thoughts you have of having special powers, but you havent.

IF however you go to the Doctors, go see a specialist PROVE this to them, then have someone produce a proper report WITH video evidence(i recommend a hood or mask) then maybe JUST maybe i'll think there MIGHT be something serious in this post.

Jebus: this isn't BTS ya know ...

Anyways, lights dimming in the morning at around the same time is normal.
When a crapload of people wake up, they all start doing their thing too, putting the powergrid from nightly low consumption to morning rush in a very short period of time.

Then, computers crashing when you get peed of, no idea about that one. None of my systems ever crash unless I make them, but I don't do it by getting pissed.

Doesn't matter where this is posted, there is a logical reason for the things described, until there is some verifiable proof, all he has is words on a website.

Deny Ignorance is the theme of this place, yet it is just as ignorant to ignore the most obvious answer.

When the day comes that everything posted online is fact, then I will, possibly just take the word...infact no, i won't I will still question what people say as 'fact'.

Isn't THAT what this place is about. Uncovering the truthy amid all the lies?

If I am sensing something or get a strange feeling-my lights in my flat flicker. One evening before retiring to bed-I got me a glass of cold drink. It had been hot and humid that day (we have energy saving bulbs in case anybody asks). Anyway, the kitchen light flickered. I wasn't alarmed. It stopped and then it flickered again.

Once when I was in school, I sensed that the light above my chair was going to shatter and glass would go over my desk-the next morning going into class-there was the glass from the tube light all over my desk. The teacher couldn't start class until it was cleaned up.

Are you sure he's talking about jerking off? I've heard about something called ??'wee-shivers'??, and your whole body shakes for a second once you finish off (taking a leak, that is). Getting a bit too personal here, but I know because I get them. It is a peculiar feeling. You really do shiver, like it's really cold.
There is an incandescent bulb in my bathroom, so I wouldn't really know about the flickering.

Yea... I'm sure I' wasn't jerkin my junk. Damn you guys need help. Read my post. Has nothing to do with jerkin off... although that was pretty fun t o read
.... And yes I have noticed that my energy saver lights put on the nicest show, must have something to do with the fluorescents, I’ve heard from my electrician friends the work on the same wavelength as your brain. Also I said pretty clearly.” IF YOU ARE A SCEINTEST AND HAVE EQUIPTMENT TEST ME!" The guys that run this forum have my info. I don't just talk $^# I walk. Unlike most people on this site. If this hasn't happened to you then you could have no idea what I’m talking about, Talking about this like I’m pulling my dick is childish, grow up you are the reason people are dumb, take responsibility for what you say.

Yeah, I've had a shiver at the end of urinating in the morning, mostly if I had to go really bad when I wake up. It happens when the bladder is just finished emptying and you get a shudder up your back.
I think that's just a natural responce that can be explained. (Is there a doctor in the house ?)

I've never had the lights flicker unless there was a short brown-out, but I pass under street lights that go out quite frequently. Too often to be a coincidence.

George Carlin says:

The "wee-shiver" goes back to the early days of humanity.
Before we learned to shake it manually..

Thats what he said, really..

Yes - Re-Read this line that you posted again.

Now if you happen to be male maybe you could recognize what I’m talking about. Just about the time I'm finishing up,

Now, as a guy and as most guys will attest, most mornings one wakes up with something refered to as 'Morning-Glory'.
People deal with this in different ways.
You specifically call on guys to understand something that you expect alot do first thing, even finishing with the comment 'just about the time I'm finishing up'
THEN you actually describe one of the feelings associated with finishing up in a mastabatory sense...let me refresh

I get a shiver that comes from the bottom of my feet and goes up my back and out my head.

Many males(who you are refering to, as you specify males) know the sensation of the male orgasm as your body goes rigid and you you feel a shiver that runs the course of your body.

If you didn't mean that you was wanking, then please explain in proper detail what it is that you are doing that shows you have obvious embarrassment in describing, hence the 'happen to be male maybe you could recognize' line.

I think the fact that you took my post as childish shows a certain lack of maturity on your part, as on the information YOU gave, i did proceed to give you good reasons why you believed you had these 'special powers' of turning a light on and off by masturbation.

The fact you put the line 'it actually happens and I will challenge ANY scientists that wish to verify my claims' doesn't mean much also it doesn't mean 'IF YOU ARE A SCEINTEST AND HAVE EQUIPTMENT TEST ME'.
What that first line says is that if any scientist thinks this is bogus(and its not just scientists that will think this) then if they wish to test you, you will take them up on it.
You do not put forth the challenge to ATS members to prove it.
I suggested that as you are the one making the claim, YOU should be the one who goes and proves this, as the burden of proof falls on you.
That is surely a concept you have yet to grasp. You make claims, you bring the proof, you don't challenge us to do it.

I don't just talk $^# I walk. Unlike most people on this site.

And we know this because?
You make such sweeping statements like this yet you haven't exactly given us anything confirmable, infact you just got a little bit insulting to the first person who questioned your experience, which in my mind takes away from any validity you would have AS A NEW POSTER, while involving you in this comment more then me.

you are the reason people are dumb

In your mind, the way you have acted and responded, if someone questions a comment that has no proof attached, instead finds a plausible explanation BASED ON THE WAY YOU HAVE WRITTEN YOUR POST, is the reason people 'are dumb' instead we should live in a world where people like you can make random comments and just expect us all to believe you....sorry friend, if you believe thats the correctway for society, to not question, then you ae possibly the reason why in some cases people are dumb.

I don't get the point of this comment

take responsibility for what you say.

I'm sorry, did I try and post my comment anonymously or something?
Nope, infact i also made another comment in the name i'm used to writing on here.
Ohh and here I am defending my comments because of your immature response....see to me, thats taking responsibility for my comments.

You should really try to seek professional help in all of this, even if its to prove to you that this Light Switch in your head isn't real.

Also this doesn't douse the Skeptics with understanding when you write this

For the skeptic I have had 3 Journey men electricians look...yadda yadda

All that says is, you don't have proof on you, so YOU, the person who is making the claims, has posted "evidence"

You might as well have posted

For the Skeptics: Santa Clause, The Easter Bunny and Tom Cruise were over at my house and have tested me to see if this is real.

Until YOU provide actualy proof, verifiable with official markings, then all you HAVE is a story...and not an entertaining one at that.

Just to rule out a safety concern, call your local Electric Utility Co and ask them to inspect inside your meter base housing to rule out loose or overheated meter blocks or service entrance cable connectors.

Working for a major utility, we find burnt up boxes on numerous homes when the meter bases
are opened for inspection.
Some haven't been opening for 10-30 years, so until a problem shows itself, they go undetected.

Underground cable can also go bad or the transformer feeding your home might have a problem.

Your electrician friends should also tighten down all the connections in your breaker panel.

They get loose after a while.

Loose connections and too much load are the leading causes of electrical fires.

Better safe than sorry.

Jebus,

Man you just jump right out there and assume things very easily. How do you know that the originator of this topic isn't experiencing some type of wild phenomena? You weren't there to see it.

There is nothing wrong with wanting proof, but invalidating someone based on your assumptions just isn't right. Jebus, you've got no proof to back up your own assumptions that you put forward.

Certainly, yes, if there were some kind of electrical problem, it should be fixed before it becomes a serious problem.

You need new electricians. Fluorescent lighting relies on a thing called a ballast. These energy saving bulbs have it built into the base which explains there appearance. They often come on then flicker a few moments later in the normal course of their warming up. Try this tomorrow morning. Turn on the light and watch it for a while before you do whatever it is you do. I think you may see that it is a coincidence that it takes you the same amount of time to pee as it takes for the gases in the light to become fully excited (not that kind of excited guys!). That chill I think is something most of us share at times I think. I know when I have a bladder full and can’t go for a while, I get those chills when I finally get relief. The two are probably unrelated. Then you have the I’ve read to much on ATS syndrome to help you make connections that don’t really exist.

Please tell me what assumptions I made that need proof and WHEN this guy brings forth some kind of proof that he has a 'Dimmer Switch' in his brain, i will bring forth proof.

Oh wait, do you know what. I am confident that he won't bring forth any proof. Do you know why?
Because if any of this were true, he'd have already been to a specialist, or even the TV Netweorks. Yes he would think himself some great Prophet or something with magical abilities and wish to prove to the world.
But what does he do.
He comes here, somewhat anonymously tells his story in the vaguest way possible, shows no evidence what so ever except the 'word' or three electricians, who incidently none of us know, as he posted the comment, and THEN tells us

I want to be absolutely clear. Don't post your arguments. This happens!

As though no one can argue against him because we are to automatically believe him.

No, granted I was not there, but thats the point, no one but this guy was, so IF he wants ANYONE to believe him, then he needs evidence.

If this guy believes it then he shuld be able to provide it or he needs help in some ways.

He still hasn't clarified what he was doing in the bathroom that only us guys would understand at that time of day.

Ohh and this

Man you just jump right out there and assume things very easily

Yes, maybe I do. BUT what i definitely don't do, is believe every single story that is brought forward on a site like this especially when they are a) new to the site b)bring no evidence.

Well, you say that this follows you were ever you go. So, it may not be "house" related.

Our bodies are conductors of electricity, you might have a higher potential to have ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) or other electrical interference.

I'm a Network\Systems Engineer and one of our VPs had a great Laptop and it always seemed to fail with him. We would work on it and nothing was ever wrong, we have him a desktop to use and same kind of things happened.

So what I'm saying is that your body might discharge more electricity or distrub things with electrical currents more so than some....
Maybe it's stress related or you are just "electricity" sensitive...

Maybe change your diet up
Acupuncture
Chakra Meditation
I don't know.

Further to the comments posted above:

I had already had three independent electricians look at all of the wiring in my house and absolutely nothing is wrong.

This is not just happen in my house, it happens everywhere I go that there is fluorescent lighting.

And just to clarify I'm not talking about jerking off.

I also experience the same phenomena when I walk under streetlights, this happens so often I pay no attention to it anymore.

And for the people out there who would like evidence of this phenomena, I'll ask you to ask your friends and family if this is ever happened to them, as I am sure it has.

Also I have an emergency light in my basement which is not currently hooked up to any power source or battery or anything else that might be able to turn it on, and it is grounded to wood. This light is always putting off a very dim glow.

Thanks to all of people who took this post seriously as I appreciate your comments.

And for those with nothing better to do than talk out of their $#%. I would thank you to stop commenting on my posts as your comments are unfounded, ignorant and childish.

Yes, my lights flicker alot and I have a large touch lamp that you HAVE to touch to turn it on and it comes on all by itself almost everyday.
I've moved it to every single room in my house and it still comes on.

Sounds to me like the movie Powder.
You didnt get struck by lightning did you?
But seriously, just sounds like your body influences electricity more so than others.
Have fun with that.
