'Lost:' Season Three Discussion...

Interesting that nobody has mentioned the guy in the TV monitor once
Sayid made a connection in the Pearl. He had an eye patch. Remember when the Tallies found their hatch. There was a hallowed out bible and a glass eye! Could the glass eye belong to Mr. Eye Patch????? Interesting that they bring in yet another type of character. He certainly can't be with the others. OR, maybe he is the supply order clerk that makes contact with the outside world and orders the supplies that are part of the 'supply drops."

That scene kinda gave me a chill. LIke he knew someone was watching and he turned the camera off.

Also, Ecko's last words to Locke. "You're next!" What's up with that?

Yeah that was clever, kill of the most interesting character other than Locke and Desmond.

His flashback was well good, they should do a spin off show about Eko's life. His past in 2 episode flashbacks have been more interesting than half the stalling crap that's gone on in this season so far.

Kate; Charlie; Clare and a bunch of the other losties are dull, dull, dull!

I tell you what though, I'd love a poster of Eko dressed as a priest; covered in blood whilst holding a handgun and a machete!!! I nearly pissed myself laughing.

At least now we know the black smoke manifests itself into the people from the losties lives. It'll be interesting to go back and see why it attacked Locke when Kate saved him from it.

There are many other things I could moan about from this episode but I just don't have the energy, but overall it was poor.

he was mentioned earlier in this thread...

i watched the preview for next week and it looks like he is wearing a dharma uniform (like desmond's)...

i could actually see the top of it, but not the "sign" (so i can't tell what hatch he is in)...

i wonder if it is the flame???

and i want to know how the heck locke is planning on finding the hatch...

locke has that map, with the hatches and the big question mark in the middle.. i'd assume they're going to head for the question mark..

locke and eko already went to the question mark (in season two)...

and as it disappointingly turns out, the question mark was actually the pearl station...

also, locke's version of the map was crappy at best (plus he doesn't have it anymore, he put it in that pneumatic tube in the pearl and it went to that big pile of pearl-station-tube-notebooks and kate looked at it in the season two finale)...

i will be amazed if locke finds any other hatches (okay, maybe he will one by accident but he certainly doesn't know where they could be located)...

ah, yeah forgot they went to the question-mark, thought they went to one of the random ones..

well obviously he has a fair idea of where-abouts on the island the hatches are, otherwise he wouldn't be looking.. and almost certain that the person in that hatch will be expecting them..

The two new Losties just get on my nerves! Firstly, they appear from no-where, then the woman explains that the TV's could be linked to other stations.

Well no dur!

Of course they were! That scene just made Loche look like an idiot. I think he would have guessed, after watching the tape and everything.

TSA, I went back and read all the 11/2 posts and I don't see anything mentioned about Mr. Eyepatch. I think Mr. Eyepatch adds a brand new twist on things. What is he doing on the Island, is he associated with the Others, the Original Dharma's, Does he know everything that is going on, is he controlling things, is he the real boss of the Island. Is the glass eye they found in the Tailies hatch his? How did it get there? Could he have been watching the Losties as they pushed the button all those times in the Swan Hatch, if so, why hasn't he become involved with them?

Just thought there would be more conversation around it.

Mr. Ecko is gone, that is sad. Jack is being tested, Locke heard they were next I believe are the top stories, but I'd rather talk about Mr. Eyepatch than Nikki and Paulo.

Eye patch guy = Ron Pearlman, aka, the guy who was in the hatch with Desmond.

He's not dead...and they've been through the area where he "died," yet there was no body in an orange (or yellow, can't remember) jumpsuit.

I'm still waiting for Desmond's rich lost love to begin the search she was hinted at started in the finale of Season 2.

Apparantly eye-patch guy is Andrew Divoff aka the Wishmaster. Hopefully someone wont wish to turn into silver and explode (I'm sure no one gets that, skip it).

I'm still fuming about the last episode though, it was proper dog turd. Ok I can understand the guy who plays Eko wanting to get out of the show, but to thrust them two ass-hats on us as his replacement is beyond lazy. For a start they seemed to have picked out generic hot girl and pretty boy. Seriously, they look like they've walked in off a GAP commercial. They're expecting us to just swallow their involvement instantly like we wont even notice they're total turd, it's horrible writing and casting.

Hopefully they are killed off even swifter than the guy who helped them get the dynamite, but even he was a hundred times more interesting than exposition girl and "I just took a crap" boy. You just know though that they're going to pad out another episode or two with their flashbacks. This show is seriously starting to test my patience. :bnghd:

In this pic, I thought the One-Eyed WOnder was Ron Perlman. They look uncannily similar there.

I'm not sure why you guys are believing rumors that Eko was killed off because he wanted to be. Maybe it was their plan. Who knows?

i'm just saying its plausible...

he wanted to be written off and it happened...

throw in a recent incident with police and some rumored bad behavior and you may see why its plausible...

to add to this, there is no way in hell that the show was done with libby (and maybe even ana) but they had some bad off-set experiences and then they were killed off...

makes you wonder, huh???

I see the resemblance but it for sure not Perlman.
Compare the crease that runs from the left side of the nose down to the mouth. Also compare the shape of the nose.

anyway, did anyone see the religious reference last episode when locke / eko were pushing that huge rock in order to get into the plane...

very niiice...

i loved locke's line that said "don't confuse coincidence with fate"...

recall that eko told locke this in season two...

this was also a niiice touch...

did anyone find it interesting that the smoke monster left when locke and company showed up???

i wonder why the monster didn't kill them all during that moment...

it seems like the monster can't be destroyed, so why did it not finish them all off???

i wonder if it is afraid of locke or desmond???

I don't think the smoke monster is actually smoke per se...but some sort of swarm of really small nano-bots.

I don't think there is anything supernatural about it. I think it's some sort of technology that "got loose" so to speak.
