When love mysteriously and unknowingly tip-toes into your heart has to be a moment worth staying in for an eternity. Would you agree? The first glimpse that you are in love with someone when you are barely aware yourself, much less the person in question. This has to be the greatest moment of love. When you begin to consider and question and your skeptical nature about love makes an appearance but there is no fighting that love, that moment, nothing and noone can take it away from you..This is when love shines the brightest and is recognized by everyone around you before even yourself. What a fantastic realization!

So when would some of you consider love to be the greatest feeling?

I believe you felt that way, and if you reflect now in a moment of greater awareness, you know that the feeling is something that grows inside, to be something painful and all-consuming, and that breaking through that feeling through overcoming your self-doubt and having true faith in the other for important reasons, will take the pain away and build a rock solid foundation for your future life. I know you only want to feel that level of intensity once, that is the human design for most of us I believe.

Run with it for all time if it feels spirited and safe for you, there isn't going to be room for post-hoc rationalizations or searching for longlost answers about this very issue if you are so strong in your commitment.

No, I consider being "stoned" to be the best feeling. Love hurts. It's like that song says, "Love hurts".

Nah, I think the first moment when you realize that the one thing that makes you happiest, is making that other person happy....that's pretty amazing stuff...

But it's even more wonderful when the person doesn't even realize how happy they make you or you don't realize how happy you make them..it's all about mystery because mysteries aren't revealed in that moment and thus cannot be broken or rained on.

well knowing you make eachother happy is even better, to me.

I've been in love a few times in my life...but love never worked out...for whatever reason. Giving love was easy...holding love was hard. Now it seems love is something that happens to other people.

I can't figure it out...everyone who knows me says how much of a great guy I am blah blah blah...and yeah, I know I am...but that doesn't seem to matter much...same results...so as for love, I don't have a clue...thought I did once, guess not...

Thanks man, much appreciated...though need to clarify something...sure, losing love can be a depressing thing, but what you might discover is that once you forego the search for love FROM someone, you have a lot more time and energy to devote to showing love TO other people...and thats where I'm refocussing.

There are a lot of people in this world who get shown no love, no consideration, they are effectively invisible in societies eyes. The downtrodden, the homeless, the ill (physically/mentally), the elderly...so many people go through their lives with little love shown to them...that is such a shame...we have hearts to love, so why should there be people without love. And by love I'm of course referring to 'love/respect as a human being, as a spirit'...not 'partner/romantic' type love...as showing everyone THAT kind of love is kinda sleazy and will make you a regular at the VD Clinic

So don't worry...my life will still contain love, just on a different level...but 'partner' type love, well, if it happens it happens if it doesn't it doesn't...but I'm not going to base my life or the measuring of my life upon whether or not it does.

stoned as in physically stoned or metaphorically stoned?

No kidding, alien. I know how you feel at the moment. I honestly can't be bothered with "looking for love." I've been told that's when it comes up and smacks you in the face, but blah, who cares. Beer is a good substitute for women, anyway. Or, if you don't drink... (like me) ...you're pretty much stuffed for vicarious thrills. But hang on... skydiving! Now there's something I haven't done in ages!
