Stressful situations bring devastating results . . .

The act of violence against these people here in the US only brings the issue of how secure our own nation is . . .

Rivalries, dissatisfactions and the support of US of the conflict in Lebanon would make angry people forget that they are civilized.

Sad but that is just a show of things to comes.

So whatcha think marg, should all the American Jewish stay in their homes now, not go to work, and stay away from Jewish centers?

And is it just me or does PTS not police its threads like at ATS? We've got at least two other threads on PTS dealing with this story, and no mods have shut them down. Pssst...Majic...

Well for somebody that lobby so much against immigration you better than anybody else should know that the struggles in the middle east will affect us in the US . . .

So tell me where do you stand now . . . when it comes with Israeli Americans having to take confrontations from Lebanese Americans, Syrian Americans, Palestine Americans or let say the entire Arab American community in the US .

Very interesting Issue you know, who is more American than who now?

Remeber the problems we have after the 9/11 and the muslin comunity?

Humm . .mm yeah they were afraid also . . .

Me? Lobby? C'mon marg. :shk: I am your regular american guy, working a crappy job, who's only interest in this board is discussing the issues of today with other intelligent people. Period. Got it now marg? I am not paid, I have no affiliation or interest in any political party except maybe a "Constitution" type party, and to be honest, I don't know as much about those parties as I should, cause I spend almost all my free time on ATS or reading news to be informed.

And as to me lobbying against immigration, I think you had better re-read some of my posts on the issue marg. I don't like ILLEGAL immigration marg. ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION. Not legal immigration, which is fine, and which we have a legitimate system for. Many people here feel the exact same way, like BH for example.

Well, I'll tell you where I stand once those confrontations HAPPEN marg. The guy who did this shooting was a Pakistani with a criminal record, so I suppose you meant to put Pakistani-American in there too but forgot?

Yes it is an interesting issue, but the second part of that statement doesn't make much sense to me.
If you are in any way referring to my screenname, TrueAmerican, you should know that the only reason I have it is cause the day I registered on ATS I needed a name, happened to look over at my Guild guitar, and it said "True American" on the head stock. I am not trying to be more or less american than anyone else, and in retrospect, wish I had a different ID cause some people around here think I'm trying to be Mr. USA or something. IT'S JUST A SCREENNAME.

Yes I do. I remember reports of Muslims being shy for a while and laying low to avoid potential backlash. But I doubt because of this one incident Jewish Americans will do the same.

TrueAmerican

When I made the comment on who was more American than Who I was not referring at your member name . . . I was referring to all the people that call themselves country/American, something that I am against, due to the reason that if you are in this country and are an American citizen the country of birth is just part of heritage.

It seems that people just like to be Americans but parade their country of birth with it, to make a statement.

to make a statement.

More detail emerge about the shooting from The Seattle Times.

Haq allegedly said, "I'm only doing this for a statement."

"Haq reiterated that he just wanting (sic) to make a point and was tired of everyone not listening to our point of view."

He demanded to be connected to CNN or other media.

Very spooky marge.
