Just now, fox news was reporting that a "UN aid convoy enroute south from Tyre" had come under attack from Israeli artillery.
Then, they went on to say that Israel's stance was that this UN convoy had not been sanctioned, had not contacted Isreal to give their whereabouts
and timetable. Then, the reporter said something to the effect that the UN itself hadnt sanctioned the convoy either.
IF (IF) the reporter got it right, what does that say about the UN in the field? Are they "giving aid" that Kofi Anan doesn't know about??? What
Nationality were the workers? Swede? French? Lebonese? What does it take to become a "UN convoy?" Do you qualify if you have some white
trucks??
Politics aside, I can see how, if I were fighting a war, how international aid agencies bringing medical supplies and food to enemy combatants would
seem like supporting the enemy. . . . .

Several days ago, there was a report on ATSNN that several chinese nationals who were connected the UN were injured by Israeli artillery in Southern
Lebanon while repairing a road. The media glossed over the incedent, and I remember wondering if the Israelis had bombed the road in the name of
denying transport ability to Hezbollah rocket crews in the area; did the Israelis see road repair as "aiding Hezbollah?"
