So, is the president dead set on getting CIA members killed now?

Seriously, who here doesn't believe that the leak came from 1600 pennsylvania?

Now, I'm sure this is just another plot from the #ing white house. You know, I'm getting entirely sick of america and all of this BS going on right now.

I'm SERIOUSLY considering moving to germany or something. GAAAAAAA!!

*stomps off muttering, angry with something*

The Bush family is power and oil hungry, they are greedy and selfish. I can see Bush going into Iran and syria next.

The CIA contractors killed were probably not tracking terrorists. That might be what they want you to think. Probably selling them weapons.

Not me.

I don't believe honour has anything to do with these CIA operatives.

The people who join the "Agency" join because they honestly believe, that by working in the shadows more can be accomplished.

Does the saying;
"You don't have to like it, you just have to do it."
Ring a bell?

I respect them for what they believed, just because their boss is crooked and corrupt doesn't make the operatives that way!

If you don't have a sence to "honour" people who go into hostile areas, without an army backing them up, who do you?

I for one, will continue to give credit where it is due.
CIA agents, will not be awarded medals, they will never have marked graves, and they will never been known by the very people they vowed to keep safe. They do this willingly without hesitation, so unless you think your better than they, I advise you watch your tongue.

No offence or insult intended, just makeing my thoughts clear.

I have noticed that too. Also have noticed that Bush dosent seem to care too much about whats going on in Iraq or about who gets killed

Good point. I will wait too. To bad they just talk but not move.

Maybe we can now mount an attack against the liberals?

Not entirely accurate...each killed in action gets a little plaque on the wall in the HQ in Langley....

I'm not so sure they didn't know what they were in for though...when I was actively pursuing the Agency career path, I simply found out more about the Agency than I cared to know, and realized how expendable a case officer/agent really is...not to mention, some of the less than moral actions taken in the name of National Security. It didn't set well with me. I think you need a certain lack of morals to succeed in that line of work... Still though, dying in combat is worth a bow of the head...

Yes, Gaz. They get a little plaque, thats the unmarked grave. But they know what they are getting themselves into, and so that "lack" of morals is required, because the people they hunt, have none.

Even if you don't agree with the way someone thinks he can help the world. That does not mean that tribute should not be given to anyone believing in something greater then themselves.

Umm, they weren't CIA agents. They were mercenaries hired by the CIA, like hundreds others theyve hired. They only thing they got from the CIA were their pay checks.

Interesting to see if the same sentiments remain...

No # huh. I think that if they start up the draft, the first two inductees into the military should be Dubya daughters. I bet he'd care if it was his kids dying!

Well,I find the view that honour is due to those who believe they are doing the right thing hypocritical.

Afterall your not telling me you honour the Iraqis who die fighting the USA.

Therefore the basis of the honour is bias by your own perceptions of what is right or wrong.

As an American ,Advisor, you believe they are acting in your interests.Whereas I believe they are acting to maintain US hegemony in the world which hardly serves the interests of freedom loving people around the world.

You of course would disagree once more because you also have a US/Christian centric view of what freedom is.

I honour only those that try and bring peace. Not pseudo-peace for one continent but world peace.

Mercenary is the wrong term. Webster's defines mercenary as "a soldier hired into foreign service".

These were American citizens working for an American Agency. The fact that they were contractors and not actual CIA employees means very little. Because they were contractors, the following applies:

1) They could be hired quickly and efficiently
2) There were no hassles relative to benefits, pay, insurance, etc.
3) They could be fired when no longer needed (it is notoriously hard to fire any gov't empoyee).

But other than that I believe that they were professional US soldiers, working in a really #ty job, in one of the world's biggest hellholes, trying to hunt down and eliminate some of the world's most evil and dangerous men. No amount of money can make that job sound good, unless you are an exceptionally dedicated US soldier seeking a way to strike back at our foes.

They died doing their duty to their country, in the line of fire. They died in exactly the way that they themselves probably wanted it to be.

Hand salute........ready....two.

Can you verify this, the release said contractors, not contracties. If how ever the jargon was missinterpreted, thank you.

4/ They are deniable.

The British did the same in the Yemen.SAS were encouraged to go on "holiday" there.

Makes you wonder why they needed to be deniable though.
