I was alerted to postings on a way out there website called AboveTopSecret. It looks like these people have gotten pretty far in decyphering the clues and getting some answers.

Probably another red herring but who tagged this thread with 42 ?.

Is there an obvious reference I am missing? Probably, I just laied 400 sq. foot of tile in my kitchen and I'm imbibing right now. Ya never know.

That's the hex code for the color font he's using...just a guess, maybe color is the subject? something to do with hex codes or hexes?
