I just wanted to share, to see if anyone had any idea about it...

About a month ago, I was in the passenger seat of my boyfriend's car and saw this tiny white light slowly move straight towards me from the dash, then dissapear. I was trying to think of a way to describe the size, and the best I can think of is the size of a dot made with a ball point pen. It was very bright, like it was radiating light. I took in all this in a matter of a few seconds, so my description is based on a very small amount of time, and some confusion over what I just saw. I know it wasn't a dust particle (unless this one was bigger than most, had a great reflection to light, and moved straight in a slower and more direct fashion than other dust particles). I'm not dismissing the dust particle idea, but just wanted to emphasise that it didn't behave like any dust particles I had seen before.

Later that night, my boyfriend and I were lying in bed when he says he saw something weird on the wall behind me, and to repeat what I had just done (moving my arm) to see if it was just a strange reflection of light or something. So I do it again, then say "You saw the white light, didn't you?" and he says that he did. I described what I saw in the car, and it was exactly the same. I didn't go into it further because it was creeping me out.

I think I may have seen the light again, but never so clearly as that time in the car. Do you think it could be something with my eyes? A weird reflection of dust? I realize that it probably is nothing, but just wanted some opinions in case other people have seen the same thing.

Thanks!

Now, I'm not saying I doubt the story offhand, but why did you wait until now to post it?

Seems this happened about the time, or just a bit before you registered here.

Well, I would ask what you think it could be? Have you been reading up on orbs or anything of the sort? What was your own initial feelings at what you saw? DO you feel it was something "spiritual"? If you have been reading up on spirit orbs, it could be that at some point you asked for proof and got it? These are just random thoughts that are popping into my head. The ultimate question is...what do YOU feel it was? I have a suspicion, but wanna know what you think it "could" have been first.

A retina image from incoming head lights maybe??? or even one of those speckles of light you get when you rub your eyes too hard....

It could be anything really, but what did you feel at the time about it??

Honestly, I just haven't thought about it in a while. I saw something out of the corner of my eye this morning that made me think about it again, so I decided that maybe someone on here would know what it was. Really, I was worried that it's not interesting enough to make a post about, but what the heck, might as well see.
It happened before I signed on to ATS, so more than a month ago I guess? Time really flies way too fast.

The first thing that came to my mind was that it was a bit of energy, that somehow I was able to visualize this energy... it had become very dense, or I was just in tune with it or something. I haven't read up on anything about orbs, except the ghost pictures where people claim they are ghosts, but really it's just dust or water drops.
I have often asked for proof of there being more to this world than what we see, and seeing this light did bring me a sense of happiness, just because it's neat to see something I can believe is beyond normal "reality".

And there you are!
Often times people ask, and see, and write it off. My own experiences have taught me that things like these serve to remind us we are living in only one part of a multi-universe. My personal opinion is that this is a part of becoming more aware of the multi-dimensional being that you are. The more you question, the more you ask, the more you search and discover, the more these things happen to you. Just stay open to the possibilities, thats all it requires. Thats not to say just accept either, all possibilities should always be looked at, and skeptisism is a must. But when people search for thier truths to explain the world around them, many begin to see things like this, and it only gets better with time.
Very cool

Thank you darkblade - that is a wonderful response! I guess I really do need to be reminded of these things.
I'm always looking for some big obvious sign, but often it's the little things that could get overlooked that provide insight. Thank you giving me encouragement!

Were you adopted?

The reason why I am asking is because my mother was adopted. She was from a small town in IOWA and was consistantly ridiculed for being adopted. This was around preteen-teen times and describe what almost looked like a bright, white, tiny floating cross. She would see this from time to time, and it made her feel relaxed...she felt it was her guardian angel. Years later she found out that her biological mother passed away a few years after giving birth to my mom....

She connects the two together and feels that her biological mother was there.

Anyway, back to your situation, how did you feel when you saw it???
Indifferent?

maybe you just got mezmerized, with the drone of the motor & the black-screen of the windshield in front of you, Also, as you seem to recount, yours was a silent passage of time being immersed in your own thoughts....

when one 'quiets' all the internal dialogue and withdraws from all the external noise that assaults our senses with alerts and realities situational awareness...
we can go into Alpha states of brain activity.

i suggest that the tiny & intense point of light you saw was generated in the optical
parts in your brain. It then became a 'vision' when your excited mental reaction triggered an immediate release of brain chemicals like endorphins & dopamine.
thus, the lingering feeling that the dot of intense light was mystical/mysterious
& of great significance..
(but still it can be relegated to a small storage space in the back of your mind, to be 'remembered' if ever the occasion or need arises.)

as far as your BF seeing 'something' on the bedroom wall that same night,
...i think your drawing connections which just are not there...

but isn't that the essence of tales & stories & imaginations & fantasies
which can possibly lead to the creation of theories or hypothesis if one is so inclined

file it under anomaly or use the apparition as a springboard for creative thought

have a nice sunday

This is actually my boyfriends username. He just called me up from work telling me to have a look at your thread as we had a similar experience almost 2 and a half years ago... I have to admit I felt a little jumpy after reading your post.

It was just a normal "gloomy day" and we we're both sat on the floor facing each other when i saw this tiny dot of light (or so it seems) from the right corner of my eye coming towards me and then I had a complete "whiteout" (dunno what it's called) for a couple of seconds. The feeling is that as if someone flashed a camera at you in the middle of a dark room. It felt pretty weird. I was about to dismiss the spooky feeling thinking it might just be lightning when my partner told me that at the same time I had this "whiteout" experience he said he saw a very tiny dot of light travelling really fast and went straight through me. Based on how he saw it, he said it almost like a very thin laser beam light pointed straight at me. This happened in a matter of seconds. We we're both a little bit shaken after the incident. It was quite an experience that until now we still talked about it and still wonder what it might be... So I don't know If It's quite a relief hearing that you had almost the same experience... Thanks a lot for sharing ....

Just a silly addition: (Call me nuts for even thinking about it!!!)

5 weeks after the incident we found out I was pregnant. One night the light incident was brought up again and just blurted out jokingly that the light might be Mia's soul entering me. I know it sounds absurd but hey get back to me if you feel a bit of morning sickness coming ok.... and maybe we'll have a stronger case... joke... hehehe... all the best!!!

Thanks for the input, everyone. And thanks for sharing your story, Neon! Sounds a lot more intense than what I saw, and a crazy experience for sure!

Drew - I was not adopted, but that is a very cool story! I love hearing about others' experiences.

St - That is a very interesting theory, and it may just have been that! I really don't think much of the occurance, as I have not seen it again, and it didn't "change my life" or anything. I just thought it was strange, and would be happy for whatever it was to occur again.
