I think its a bluff, why would you give Israel time to look for all those trucks with the missiles??

Unless i see different, im leaning to a bluff.
Maybe a sign of how desperate Hezbollah are getting.

If it's a bluff it's one of the best ones i've ever seen besides why would you want to purposefully increase the enemy's attention on you for no reason

By just making the threat he has caused disruption and worry. That is a tool of terrorism itself, and a valid weapon as far as war goes. The threat may be all he wanted/needed to do.

Nothing yet - mind you, the traffic on the ring road looks a bit snarled up. If it's not one thing it's another.

maybe the missiles are already set and hidden if that were the case i could understand why they would alert the media they have killed enough civilians already

Or maybe its a lie made to increase panic amongst israelis to strenghten the support for current actions.
Israel biggest problem is to not look as the bad guy in this affair.
Each time israel bombs Liban, support for Hezbollah grows stronger.
But it is known that the people's support on the attacking country tends to erode as time passes.
I seriously doubt 500 bombs will land on Tel-Aviv and anyway, it comes from unkown sources so there will be no one to blame once this has been proven wrong.

How very nice to give them a warning. You would think that they want to kill as many people as possible, to catch them off guard?? It is very possible they have the weapons to do this, they have at least according to IDF 300 long range missles of Iranian make sitting somewhere in northern Lebanon. Then there is the chance Syria will lanch the missles (Hezzbollah in Syria) of course the outcome of that will not be good...

nothing as of yet. Its a bluff. However, they do claim to have long range high tech iranian missile at their disposable, and this was clear from the attacks on Israeli warships.

Another idea that I have. After talking to my friend in Israel, he said that there were the threats, and that roadblocks had been set up. This led to a huge backup in traffic, which gave the appearance of an evacuation. I think his idea is that this incident of traffic, had fueled the idea of this happening, but he said there is no evacuation of Tel Aviv, and furthermore it would be next to impossible to evacuate Tel Aviv.

Just my addition to this.

Are you nuts? Do you want it to happen? You should be @#^&%$ happy it hasn't!

I dont "want" it to happen though it would be a good excuse for Israel to go ahead and take it to the Syrians and Iranians. My comment was more directed to the validity of the thread topic at hand. It seemed rather ludicrous.

Oh sorry I forgot. You don't care that innocent people might die, only that Israel has a reason to attack someone else. Good thinking. Barbarian.

The way it reads to me, is when he ANNOUNCES it they have an hour to leave,
just because it is breaking news doesnt mean he has announced it.

How in the world is Hezbollah going to be able to field 500 of these rockets with the yehudis chopping them down like reeds in the south???

They probably cannot. Nasrallah had previously warned that they'd hit the warship, and they did, so perhaps its not an intentional bluff, perhaps he doesn't realize that his forces have already been decimated. I imagine the lines of communication from the south are pretty hampered. The 'fog of war' must be pretty thick on the hezbollah side.

Thats my read on it too. That'd really put the panic in. "When I give the signal, youy have an hour to live, mwa hahahahahah'. Once that signal occurs, there'll be a riot.

Also, lets note, Tel Aviv is within range of palestinian rockets too (i beleive), it might be a coordinated attack.

I like the way you assume Israelis attacks on civilian infrastructure are hampering Hezbollah at all. From what I have seen, Hezbollah rockets are still coming over the border at more or less the same rate as they were a week ago.

The stated Israeli strategy is to hamper resupply efforts, attack the leadership of Hezbollah and try to coerce the civilian population into rising up against them. From what I can gather, very few actual launch sites are being targetted.

More often than not, it's civilian vehicles mistaken for launch vehicles, such as the one that was destroyed less than 100 metres from a BBC reporter yeterday.

Turns out, it was a crane....

This is what I was saying about the difference between Hezbollah and the Hamas cowards. At least Hezbollah will stand up and fight the IDF toe to toe. The Palestiians behave like cowards in their suicide attacks.

Palestinian militants (and non militant Palestinians) have been bombarded and attacked by Israel for decades.

Israeli assassinations, air strikes, tank shells....

The borders they have are all controlled by Israel.

The Palestinian militants don't have much weaponry, but their situation imposed on the Palestinians compells them to fight anyway they can.

Give the Palestinians a Katyusha, or a F-16, or a Tank, if you don't like their methods.

Personally, I can't see how you see something like a Palestinian suicide bomber blowing up a bus more cowardly than an Israeli F-16 dropping bombs upon Palestinian refugee camps and other civillian targets or an Israeli tank shelling a Palestinian marketplace.

Both are as bad as each other.
