It is ok for adults to do, just not kids? Is that what I am to understand from the posts here? What makes you think that terrorists bombing a country would only tick off the adults? What I see here are two girls, who are seriously ticked off at a group of people bombing their country, and are able to express their anger in writing.

After 911, a lot of americans would have loved to have signed a bomb ment for al quieda.....including kids.

It would be great if everyone was peacefull and happy. It would be great if all our leaders would sit in a circle passing a peace pipe and working things out. Unfortunatly, life does not work that way. Some people only resort to violence. There comes a time whether you like it or not, when you have to fight for what you believe in, and what you love. I see two girls there who know that too well.

What a sad, pathetic commentary on life that picture represents. Were we able to see similar photos from the perspective of the other side I suspect we would be just as shocked and apalled.

Get the next generations ready. Sick.

I couldn't say it better than:

Agreed.

Unfortunately, until either side[read: ALL] decides to approach their differences diplomatically there will be no change, nor efforts towards. ?

For everything that you say above place Palestinian in there as well. What must it be like to have a caterpillar bulldozer climb on top of your house and watch it being crushed, what must it be like to be sitting in your house to have it raided by soldier dragging off your father , mother, watching your sisters and brothers getting bashed in the face with a rifle butt, watching your friend playing soccer and the next day finding out he's dead when a bomb was dropped on his house, having a tank roll through your neighborhood along with armed soldiers with automatic weapons aimed at your head. Palestinians have nowhere near the force or weaponry that Israel inflicts on them on an almost daily basis and over a period of decades. Those 2 girls probably have only heard or seen bombs drop in their area seldom and they already have hatred in their hearts, imagine the hatred a Palestinian that is exposed to this kind of thing as an everyday occurance feels.

Yes this is a rather disturbing photograph.
Not because the cannon rounds are being written on, I know that has been done for a long time. It is disturbing because minnors are doing it. I am aware they have seen missles and bombs go off all around them and there country but that is now why I say it is disturbing. I say that because those do look like live cannon rounds, and things like that are dangerous. The military people in charge of that cannon should never let minnors get that close to live ammunation.

That's a good point. I giggled when I first read it but it's too true. I think they're meant to be dangerous though. Sorry I'm off topic.

The pic kinda makes you think about who it is that's really catching the blunt of all the hate and violence between the two sides. I guess it also reminds you that humans aren't the kind gentle souls we'd all like to think we could be. Both sides are guilty of this sort of ignorance, and it's never justified.

What's the worst thing about that photo?

In my opinion it's that it's not THE ONE picture all the news outlets use when they report on this conflict. Demand by the world for this to stop NOW would probably increase greatly in that case. At least someone out there is capture the true nature of war, regardless of their motives.

THE ONE

I would really think that out of everyone the Jews would preach love after all did they not learn any lessons from the holocaust ?.

Its really sad to think a people that where exposed to such hate, teach there kids that very thing

I agree, both sides have become equally twisted with hate, they are both very wrong. In my point of view Israel should have taken the lead as a strong, organised and sensible nation. Of course they have a right to protect themselves, and their situation holds a lot of potential sympathy.. being surrounded by many radical groups who wish death upon their entire nation. But the way they are acting, they get little sympathy from me and I fear that goes for many others - they have little local support , and they're now losing support further afield. They need to approach this situation with more wisdom then they currently display.

U know I was going to just read these threads re: this conflict over there but I just wanted to say this as I have ties that are are a lil closer to the whole thing (hence my hesitation to speak out) ... After a life of hearing how bad 'the Jews' are, hearing outright generalizations and stereotypes regarding an entire race I was extremely sickened that so many could feel so much hate for a whole people.

I have argued that the attitude most arabs have towards Israel and it's people (and vice versa) is just wrong on so many levels, even to my own family!

But U know what ? I now see (after much reading and talking to the oldies) how people can think such a thing and why they do ... and I don't blame them one iota.

I am sick and tired of hearing about 'poor Israel' when I look at the casualty stats of this current conflict. over 200 civilians dead in Lebanon and not even 50 in Israel who have their army fighting these Lebanese civilians. And this makes sense to people ? Please. And this is just one example, I don't even have the energy or the patience to go into every other thought I have (like what I thought when I saw this, and other pics of the children involved ... makes me wonder why any women over there would bother to continue to give birth) re: all this. It's not worth it, just like this whole thing.

I think "most" people dont realise just what the culture and true feeling running through these people, as we sit typing away on our computers.
These kids probaly know those bombs are going to kill people, whether innocent or not.

Oddly enough, you chose not to show Muslims celebrating a bombing, including children. A bombing which probably killed children.

I fear this world is going to consume itself with hate and anger.

It will, with haters like you. Take a real stand and end it, not this weak attempt at furthering an agenda. Tell them peace. Real peace.

I dont think those are just random girls coming up and signing a missle. They are the young of children who's parents or loved ones have been killed in terrorist activities of Palestinians, Hamas and Hezbollah.

How can you blame them?

How can the starter of this thread just post this and act as if these girls are signing this missle during a cheerleading tryout break or something? These folks have been through hell and if innocent looking children dont show some emotion then you know they just havent been through enough yet.

I hope the missle she signed knocked rag off someone's head when it exploded.

More to come-little girls signatures or not.

To notbuyinit.

I'm not a hater, and Helium is right, you dont know me, or my thoughts.

This thread was to look at this situation through pictures, i take it you read the title of this thread.

I dont defend any side, ALL of them are wrong, and any statement with violent overtures is as bad as the people firing the missiles.

Why dont YOU post a picture that you feel says more than words, than making statements which are incorrect.

Yes, absolutily I think there is a better way. Unfortunatly it is going to take at least one group to stop...completly, and that is not going to happen at least for a while. Each time either side kills another, it stirrs up all the hate all over again. Some people are saying that the rulers of the counties should diplomatically handle this. From what I have seen they have tried, but the people in the countries, do not leave it up to the leaders all the time. These people rise up and take matters into their own hands. Also, the points of view from both sides are such that neither one is going to compromise.

Considering the views from both sides, IMHO, the whole area over there is beyond the point of no return. It would take something larger than we have ever seen to bring those people together, so that peace would finaly be in the middle east.

True.

I hope one day, they can live in peace.

More pictures from Middle east.

Powerful images i think.

To listen to most of you what would be appropriate behavior from these girls...

Sending flowers?

I have a suggestion for some of you Nancies... Take a couple of weeks, go to Israel... go to Lebanon... then maybe you would have some perspective... something worth saying.

Everyone here has a hand in what is going on in the Middle East...

When don't tell the Arabs/Muslims to just basically stop their endless lies... endless hatred... endless murder...

The Israelis are in an absolutely insance position. If the Europeans actually had the moral values/clear thinking they strut around pretending to possess.. they would also start telling the truth...

Stop murdering people than pretending you're fighting some type of war of liberation.

Stop blowing things up and pretending its somehow about Muslims being persecuted.

It all starts with that simple truth.

Then maybe we can have the smiley world happy ending your Nancies seem to be pining for...

Kids from both sides can met at the borders of all the nations involved and throw flowers at each other...

A much happier and more realistic thought when you look at these two lovely children... Don't you think?
