The Israeli army briefly sent ground troops into Lebanon on Monday in an operation designed to curtail Hezbollah rocket attacks on Israel.
The troops returned to Israel when they finished their mission, Israeli officials said.
The move came on the sixth day of Israel's air campaign against the Lebanese-based militant organization Hezbollah.
A military official, who declined to give his name, told the Associated Press that the brief incursion involved a small number of troops in a limited
area.
Southern Lebanon is believed to have been heavily mined by Hezbollah, and Israel has indicated it is reluctant to send troops into the region because
of the danger.

A full scale ground invasion/occupation can't be far behind IMO.
