A limited set of sanctions were today unanimously voted to be imposed on North Korea over its recent missile tests. The sanctions prohibit any UN
member nation from selling missile technology or materials as well as weapons of mass destruction to the North Korean regime. The sanctions also
prohibit any UN member nation from purchasing the same items from the North Koreans. The North Koreans rejected the UN sanctions within 45 minutes of
the passing prompting US UN Ambassador John Bolton to call it "a World record"

UNITED NATIONS - The U.N. Security Council voted unanimously Saturday to impose limited sanctions on North Korea for its recent missile tests, and
demanded that the reclusive communist nation suspend its ballistic missile program. North Korea immediately rejected the resolution and vowed to
continue missile launches.
U.S. Ambassador John Bolton said North Korea set "a world record" for a rejection — 45 minutes — and warned that Pyongyang's failure to comply
could lead to further council action. He did not say what that might be.
The resolution bans all U.N. member states from selling material or technology for missiles or weapons of mass destruction to North Korea, and from
receiving missiles, banned weapons or technology from Pyongyang.

These sanctions are paltry. They are nothing more than a severe censure to the North Koreans. Why? Because they were developing their own technology
anyway. Hence
their own missile tests.
Pakistan had already given them their nuclear secrets so this is closing the door after the horse has bolted. But the UN is slamming the door to tell
the horse they are not happy.
