Question for CLACTICA

I have a stupid question.
Why Cylons rebelled? How they copy human same as real human so accurately whereas they are mechine in fact? I can't understand how evolve from a machine to be a human, as machine made from inorganic compound but life combined from organic compound! The teleplay is really wonderful but seem to be no head. Are there any pre-episode being which I haven't watched?

Basically the storyline goes:

There was another war with the Cylons 40 years before this latest incarnation of the show and they were defeated and a truce was declared. The Cylons left for places unkown and they have had 40 years to perfect their science and the art of what being a human is and apparently have discovered the the most extreme details involving biomechanics, how the human machine works in other words.
