The U.S. is seeking suitable site to place Anti-Ballistic Missile Interceptors in the Czech Rep. and also in Poland. The recent uproar over N.
Korea's missile tests have lead to criticism/skepticism of the US anti-missile technology. The Eastern European sites would be used to defend
primarily European targets from missile strikes eminating from the middle east. Tensions over Iran's nuke program and the fear that Iran could aquire
med. and long range missiles from N. Korea are surely a major factor in the U.S. move.
