Nazi / Nasi

ok this may be a little out to left field, but it is bothered me for sometime. the german forces prior and during ww2 were know for being ant semetic. and they called themselves Nazi's. where did the term Nazi come from? and what does it mean? the reason i ask is the ancient hebrew term for prince of village leader is Nasi.

or is it what i have always wonderd. was ww2 and the holocaust just some ethinic cleansing by it's own people,as well as a plot to establish isreal (1948)?

If im not mistaken, hitler went broke, thats why he lost. where was he getting his money from? and why did his stop getting money?

dont hate, i hate no one, this is just something that has always chewed me up and i could use some critisism to make sense of this. History class taught me nothing.

well... i cant argue on this because i have no evidence or even reference, as of yet. i was merely hopeing that this might spark some interest, iv'e heard farther fetched theories before. ex. chris angle.

Tom you are right to wonder... don't let anyone take your gut feeling or special curiosity on knowledge away from you. I was just like you. Just cos most people think Nasi & Nazi has no corelation doesn't mean there isnt. Most people just like to believe what everyone or "authority" told them. Even the few so called "experts" were merely a propaganda tool that were indoctrinated in order to serve their masters without knowing to be so.

I could tell you for sure Nasi & Nazi is the same thing if you dig deep enough on the vast subject of what this world is all about & who are running it. So is the Nazi salut was in fact a "Roman salut".

I doubt very much that the correlation between the words is anything other than coincidence, as several posters have pointed out, Nazi, is an abbreviation.

Much of Hitler's money came from investors outside Germany, when the US joined the war, combined with losing essential supply lines when they launched Barbarossa, meant that their funds dried up. They still had funds, but Reich Marks were no good outside of Germany, and in fact it was illegal under German law to allow RMs to be used outside of the Reich (not that that stopped Goebbels who was paying thousands a year to the US PR firm Ivy Lee to 'improve his image'). The main reason though that hitler lost was because he attacked Russia. His own finance ministers told him the invasion was untenable, financially, as well as his Generals telling him the same militarily.

The funds generated by the exploitation of forced labor in the concentration camps and by the 'recycling' of Jewish effects following the mass murder of the Reich Jews enabled the war to trickle on a little longer than it should have.

I especially appreciated the post as accurate, as my Grandfather was with the RAF in the UK and in charge of the Nazi POW camps after the liberations of the concentration camps.
