Im one of the silent majority readers of these ATS forums and have been intrested in ufo's and aliens my whole life and I dont know if this theory has ever been discussed here before. What if these aliens that every one see's are actually evolved humans from millions of years in the future that have mastered time travel and have come back to study present day humans?? This theory might explain why ufo's disappear so quickly without a trace.

I've often thought about this too. Or (see time travel post) that they are research gathering creatures created by the future humans to harvest dna and extinct plants and animals for the future.

I still see it as a highly unlikely theory. Not because I wouldnt be able to believe it, but of the implications if its true.

It just wouldnt work. Not the travelling in time, but doing it repeatedly and actually messing with us.

Every microsecond they stay here could mean they kill the timeline for countless billions of people, us, themselves, everyone everywhere. What if one of the time UFOs was in the "wrong" place? What if it crashed? What if the military got hold of such technology?

The implications are just... mind boggling.

Even worse if they just do it to "study" us. I would question their "evolution".

Well, unless the Greys are hiding a peanut size brain inside that big dome of theirs, then I can understand.

I've had the same thoughts before about time travel and the possibility of "aliens" being advanced humans, maybe even "possibly" one or several of the earlier civilizations that could have become more advanced then we are and figured out a way to leave the planet long ago. This is just a personal theory or possibility of mine, but maybe once these ancient humans left earth (possibly because of resource shortage or impending doom etc, it allowed other less devolved groups of humans to slowly evolve and take the place of this advanced civilization over time. If you think about it there are many peoples on earth today that are in no way even close in terms of technology when compared to the world powers. These aliens could even look different then we do because of genetic alterations or evolution over time etc.

another possibility which might bypass the whole thing about if we go back in time and mess with something then it will change things for that specific time, is the strings theory. Maybe time lines at a certain point become separate enough so that this form of interaction would not directly affect said timeline in a drastic way.

I'm with you bad bob

Last year I started a thread that brings up a lot of good evidence that Greys could be us from the future.

Greys are not Aliens.

That is one good thoery indeed. I have thought about this once. Probably in the mere future we will be evolving just like the neanderthals did. Or probably we will be mutated into these creatures we all call "The Greys." I also thought that our brain structure has evolved as well. We will be able to think with great profundity and aquirre knowledge more rapidly. Our voice box will probably be gone, maybe that is why these extra-terrestrials cannot talk. I heard that they can communicate telephatically. Remember that the Neanderthals were the early homo sapiens? THeir bodily structure was a lot different than it is of ours today. Their head was kind of sloped, they had smaller teeth, and they were quite a hunchback. (More on Neanderthals>>en.wikipedia.org...)
So that is a great theory that we are the aliens we confronted.

if that was true then wouldnt there be leftover ruins of huge city's and technology????

Actually that is a really bad example to use as there are extensive scientific anomallies to suggest that neanderthal dna does not even exist in homo-sapien

Instead a single dna strand has traced us to a single 150,000yr old ancestor..

It has been presented now that we were traced from homo habilis evolved homo-erectus who then travelled northwards from africa ''colonising'' the planet..

Evidence they had nore developed tools and cooked with fire

As they encountered neanderthal species the differences in developement became the proverbial nail in the coffin for neanderthals..GOOD JOB FOR US TOO..

IN hunting parties groups of neanderthal used ''up close and personal''methods..
Ie one poor guy acted as bait for mammoth/predators etc and led them into an ambush of his hunting team..who then used numbers and strength with their stabbing weapons, sometimes driving them over cliffs etc.. a lot like the american indians with buffalo before guns n horses.. LOVE THAT BAND!!

Wheras along comes the leaner, taller homo erectus who wouldnt stand a chance in a face to face confrontation.. like mike tyson versus linford christie

BUT... Homo erectus had developed THROWING weapons.Meaning a safer distance could be gained between him and his food/enemy therefore less fatal injuries..

And a lot less skidmarks in his undies

No link sorry as this was learned from books/school and the discovery channel.TRY WIKI ON HOMO ERECTUS.. I,m too lazy

there is alot of mis-conception about evolution on these forums i've found.
humans wont be subjected to natural selection anymore because of our culture.
our culture has basically by-passes natural selection or survival of the fittest.
a long time ago, in early history, before about 12,000-10,000 years ago.. before culture, in the hunter and gather world. if you were slow or dumb, you would have a less chance of surviving than someone who is quick and smart. but now.. the fast and the slow, the dumb and the weak.. have a equal chance of survival.. atleast in western countries.
some may even say that the more educated smarter people are less likly to have children - or less of them, therefore the overall genetic pool is actually going backwards (i guess if this is true.. the effects wont be seen until many thousands of years in the future).
so basically.. along as culture continues, evolution will have come to a stop.
i hope all that made sense to you and helped you out.
feel free to correct me if i've said any thing wrong.. im not a evolutionary biologist just a school kid, but thats my understand of it all.
cheeser.

edited: i'd just like to add for thought.. something like hilters ideology involving eugenics would have probably lead to a stronger human gene pool.. and in theory.. if continued for thousand of generations, may have lead to a more efficient human.

I have often thought of this concept. In fact,I would like to write a fictional book with this premise. One explanation could be that a planetary disaster or disease drove humans in the future off of the planet, and the race evolved differently in the zero G environment. Perhaps they want to restore their lost DNA traits, or improve their immune systems by harvesting DNA samples from us in the past.Retro Genetic Engineering.
Wouldn't it be ironic that with all of their superior technology and evolved brains,that-ONLY WE CAN SAVE THEM...?

Time paradox comes to mind when time travellers mess with the past. I am not sure they would want to mess with their ancestors, abducting and creating hybrids could result in these time travellers being non-existant in the future.

Accidents do happen in time....maybe a time machine exploded and killed all the dinasours in the past to give humans a faster head start on the planet Earth....heheheee
looks like we maybe worshipping our future time travelling selves as gods....

(reply for cheeser)

Thank you so much for replying on my quote. I have to talk about natural selection among us. I have done extensive research on it and I beg to differ about your theory on how we will not be subjected to natural selection because of our culture. Homo Sapiens (which are us) is subjected to natural selection and It will continue to be even though if our culture changes or keeps on dwelling among us. Let's try to compare our species to other animals or different species that may already be extinct. Lets compare the dinosaurs, for instance. They lived for many periods right?
The Jurassic period, Cretaceous period, Triassic period, etc. They had to depend on natural selection or survival of the fittest as we also call it. The dinosaurs (let us think about Anatosaurus, the duck billed dinosaur.) Anatosaurus had to take care of its offsprings when they were eggs. When Anatosaurus was caught off guard, the Velociraptors stole it's eggs and ate them. Or the Velociraptors, since they hunted in packs, they took down Anatosaurus and ate its eggs. Anatosaurus had to survive against these fearsome raptors eating its eggs. Let us also think about Ankylosaurus, he was a heavily built quadrupedal herbivore armored with bony plates. When Tyrannosaurus Rex tried to take him down, he really had a hard time perhaps. Probably he got injured by Ankylosaurus's armored plates. The dinosaurs who were more vulnerable to eat were eaten a lot and the dinosaurs who had protective shields like Ankylosaurus were less vulnerable to get eaten. The system of hunting of the Velociraptors was to hunt in packs and take down other dinosaurs. The Anatosaurus was commited to take care of their offsprings and care for them. These two dinosaurs had different cultures or systems in which they lived in. Try to compare the sea monsters that lived underwater and the land dinosaurs. Then we have a great theory of the meteor hiiting Earth and wiped out the dinosaurs off the face of the planet. Or another theory is a long winter hit them and made food scarce, hence having the dinosaurs starve to death. It goes the same for us, NEO's (near earth objects) hitting us or tsunamis, etc. They are all natural diasters and they will alter our enviroment on which we depend on living. Food will probably become scarce and we will starve to death. Notice the similarities between the dinosaurs' death and ours in this theory in particular? I compared the dinosaurs and the humans because they are somewhat similar to us and we are both subjected to natural selection.
If you were talking about culture as in anthropology (study of human kind in particular),which is called cultural anthropology or social anthropology (en.wikipedia.org...) then you might were referring to the comparative study of human societies and cultures and their development. Probably you were referring to the biology word "culture" which refers to the cultivation of bacteria, tissue cells, etc., in an artificial medium containing nutrients. Well we all know that English words contains different meanings as well as other languages. Our culture changes from time to time. We develop subcultures in other places. A majority of foreign countries are westernizing and they adapt similar to as our culture but it also has its discrepancies. So even if culture continues on we will still be evolving, not just physically but mentally, and even more possibly. We will also still be subjected to Darwin's theory of natural selection. Humans are subject to natural selection through changes in the environment, in order to survive humans must adapt genetically and produce offsping that can survive in the new environment. Feel free to improve this theory or disprove it or to discuss more about it. Thank you.

Sorry for the confusion that will teach me to do more research. This reminds me of that GEICO commercial when the guy says that their website is so easy to use that a caveman can do it. Afterwards he found out and met up with the cavemen and apologized
You are correct! We are a different species than the neanderthals. We still don't know much about them. They existed before us, but we still do not have direct links to them. There are missing pieces as to how we are related to them. We only have thoeries that are linked to them not facts, but we have some fossil evidence that helps support our theories. This is a great website in which describes a timeline of the early people from the Hominid species to the Homo Sapiens. This diagram shows roughly the time range in which each hominid species lived ( www.talkorigins.org...). I would appreciate it if you send me the links on how our single strand of DNA is linked to the Homo Habilis. Anyhow, thanks for the correction. Feel free to reply.

i have provided a link below that is very interesting on this issue. it has some scientists agreeing with further evolution of humans and others that dont.
i can see what your saying about the dinosaurs.. and your correct. but i cant really see how natural selection can be applied to humans of today, especially in westernised society. Ill try make my stance a little bit clearer.
culture was probably the wrong word on my behalf.. sorry. society/civilisation is probably a better word for my point. i believe that humans wont get any smarter/intelligent, unless it is done through genetic engineering. 2 million years ago, till not to long ago.. if you were more intelligent, you had a greater chance of survival, this is quite obvious if you apply natural selection.. because humans got progressively smarter over time. however, in todays society.. (quoted from the link below) "virtually everybody's genes are making it to the next generation, not only those who are best adapted to their environments". It's basically saying, that today, a person with an IQ of 70, is probably just as likly as passing on their genes to the next generation as someone of an IQ of 130. however going back before society.. the smarter person probably had a much greater chance of survival.
I also liked your point about if there was a disaster, and if millions/billions of people died.. and that this would in a way.. be natural selection, only the strong would survive? well i think this would be true to some extent, but i also think luck would have alot of do with it. being in the right place at the right time.
in the link below, it also bought up another interesting concept.. that if AIDs continue to affect counteries like africa, that everyone in those countries will die expect the people that have immune systems that can fight it, over time.. leaving a country whose whole population is immuned to the deadly virus.

anyways, ill be glade to see a reply.. rebutle/more ideas/other views.

What i belive is that... a strong bulk of the UFO activity around our little planet is us from further in the future, makes sence why they cannot make contact, could destroy/alter the time line. I do belive that there are many aliens visiting Earth but i do think alot are us from the future, seeing what we got up to back in our day.

You guys remember the movie "fire in the Sky" I think that if aliens were us they would probably be the ones from that movie. Remember the space suits that looked like gray aliens? Eventualy in the movie you actually get to see them and realise that they look allot like mutated humans LOL! This is my theory, basically the aliens are humans that were left over from the total destruction of our planet. Some how they got hold of some very advanced technology before the end of the world and have been using it to live in space and go back in time to harvest us so they can use our flesh and stem cells to stay alive forever in space. Thats why they look like that cause theve been living in space this whole time and eating our BRAINS Muhahaha!! I know thats a pretty dark theory but I dont beleive it myself?

I have a very credible source who believes strongly that 'grays' are us from the future. I just haven't been able to completely wrap my head around the concept. just wanted you to know that there are high ranking people who believe exactly what you are proposing.

May I put it forward that the Grey are NOT us, but a possible future evolution of Dolphins.
Look at some of the similarities between Greys and Dolphins, skin colour and texture, the ability to use ultra sonic sound as a force, they are even reported to smell the same as one another.

No, definately not, greys are not us or future us.

If you believe the "EBE" theory, then their phisical make up is nothing like us humans. They are a "manufactured" entity by other ET races, and also they have been called the "worker bees" by some ET researches.

While I do believe your post to make much sense as far as multiple-timeline theory goes, I'm afraid I must respectfully disagree as far as that being the case.

The aliens would have no trouble coming back in time and messing with us, as they would have no reason to worry about destroying their future selves.

You see, one cannot possibly do any thing in the past to hinder one's own creation, because doing so would have rendered it impossible to have made the change to begin with. Therefore, every attempt to disrupt one's own creation must necessarily fail. Logically speaking, if all attempts to disrupt one's own creation must fail, then all actions taken which inavertently disrupt one's own creation also must fail.

(Of course, this is all hypothetical, presuming that that's what all of these UFOs are to begin with).
