Yea BABY!! The most powerful weapon in the two universes!

A big scrotum. Should see it from the other angle.

Got to like the motherships from SG1 too. Pyramids, Azguards and NOX. And StarBlazers for anime (like someone said).

But coolest all time TV (for me) were those sporty BattleStar galactica scouts. The toy versions fired plastic plasma eye poker outers.

Moya, from Farscape, a living ship. How cool is that?

Aren't they just ripping off the old Canadian series LEXX (already mentioned)?

Look! Up in the sky! It's a bug; it's a spaceship; it's the size of Manhattan!

Yes, the LEXX is all of those things. It's a genetically engineered bug grown for His Divine Shadow to use as a spaceship. Oh, did I forget to mention that it blows up planets? Well, it does, but only if commanded by its captain. And if you're looking at the page banner, which has a side view of the LEXX, you're right. It looks exactly like what you think it does, say no more.

I watch Farscape sometimes too, but even some of the plots seem so LEXX to me. Like if Jim Henson made LEXX. It's like the Muppets. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I honestly couldn't say, I've never watched Lexx. I've seen a lot of Canadian TV, so when a show comes along, and you know it's Canadian, you kinda just look the other way. Is it any good?

Lexx isn't "good" good, but it's unique. More like surreal.

The first two or three seasons were just mind boggling IMO. Like WTF?

It came on about 4am here on Sci Fi. Lots of nudity and cannibalism and just weird stuff.

Then something happened. They "won" and slipped into the dark Universe and a new season started and it's beyond weird now. Not cool wierd anymore...just hard to say. A bit off?

They do things like musical epsiodes and I don't know. Just bizarre.

It's a mixed bag. You'll never know what you'll get.

EDIT: Oh, but alot of the same aspects of a living ship happen in both LEXX and FARSCAPE. VERY similar plots sometimes.

Babylon 5 gets my vote for originality, especially the Shadows' capital ships:

Okay, I'm going to show my age and blow some minds with what they actually used to put on TV.

Anyone remember this?

Yup, the 1979 series starring junkman turned freelance astronaut ANDY GRIFFITH!

Look at this clunker...

RANT, you vindicated me! I have been arguing with some friends about that show. Even though I had web resources they didn't believe that it was real. A spaceship made from a cement mixer -only in America!

Now if I can convince people that "Quark" with Richard Benjamin was also real.

Spectre, I had that argument with my friends for a decade!
People used to just think we were crazy, huh?

Thank God for the Internet.

I vaguely recall Quark. A space garbage truck right? But the net knows all.

Ummm...

I don't believe this but I guess I'm going to be the first person to mention what I'm sure everyone will agree is the true winner:

The main vessel from 'Spaceballs'.

I mean - come on! The opening scenes of that movie are cinematic perfection!

If you haven't seen it, do yourself a favor and rent it today!
