Secret NATO Base or just wasting your time

Hello all, I'm new to this board and to the whole goverment coverup thing. However after re watching the first series of the X files and reading this website I feel compelled to ask a question.

In the South of holland sits a Military Base called AFCENT I guess most of you know this site.
Just down the road there is a installation underground at Schinnen.
Again a few searches on the web would tell me that it was just a support station for troops in Europe but if it was just support why was so heavilly guarded and underground (very well hidden).

I have a source that won't tell me much about it (not a great source I know) but knowing thier backround I get the impression that is was much more than that in the late cold war. Please could anyone let me know if I'm just imagining things.....

tubularbell, AFCENT is the Armed forces headquarters for central europe!

I'm sure thst must have something to do with it being "heavily guarded"!

I know AFCENT is a headquarters, but I just wandered what was based at the schinin site as it is 20 minutes drive from AFCENT and not directly linked as far as I can tell.

My source also worked at the Cheyenne Moutain complex for six months? any connections you know??

I dont know wahts happenig in that base,but have source that is also worked in Cheyen Mountain,and now is serving in that base!I thought that was real going down for his career,but now im doubt it!!!As far as I now he is somekind of engineer and have served 2 years in Russia in also top secret military base!!Maybe it is somekind of internacional project???

Could you post some pictuers? Or a like to google earth? It might help some of us offer an opinion.

As I'm new to this I don't have any pictures. I'm sure it would be on Google earth but I've never used that either. But I'll look into it. Thanks for your help all.

Hi there, after reading many topics on this forum I decided to register. Also, as you may have seen in my profile, I'm from the Netherlands. And yes I know the base called AFCENT. But I'm not in too any kind of info about the base because I never visited the base. Although I have been many times in the place called Brunssum. This is the place where the AFCENT is located.

Why do I have visited Brunssum? I had some family living over there. Me is living in Enschede approx: 275 km away from the AFCENT.

The only thing I know about the AFCENT is that Americans are stationed there. And every time I went to my family in Brunssum I saw AWACS flying over and starting and landing at the AFCENT base.

Further... I really don't know what's going overthere. I'm curious though.

Hello to the netherlands. It's not AFCENT that really interests me its the Underground base at Schinnen.

It's about 20 minutes away from AFCENT and as far as I know it is a NATO base.

The US did deploy a lot of nukes back in the day around the netherlands but i'm unsure whether they are linked. The lack of info on the web and from you guys in here suggests it's either a very covert base or nothing at all.

Nope....it really does exist. I've been there. A while ago but.... I used to live in Hoensbruck (sorry about the spelling)

Try to Google Aachen Germany and NATO and see what comes up.

Probably to do with the Stargate program and secret space fleet program.

underground launch site?

and there is the non secret in the middle of the pacific ocean, and directly on the equator another space shuttle launch boat site.. It was shown on the discovery channel, must have been around lasts summer maybe this time that i watched. And had some launches with secret payloads, and i never really hear it being talked about on the news or anything. Run by the states and russia, and europe with each of their own launch command control rooms.

but if this is a mine facility, it could be an underground launch site, if its pointing straight up right?

Most Shuttle flights did not get on the news, not because they were secret missions, but because the public got bored with them Took a big accident to bring ot back to "Major Breaking News"

Yes a lot of the space on the Shuttle was military cargo, but hey we really need that defence satellite you know... asteroids, aliens... gotta have something to protect earth with.


Now if you really want to see whats going on... you can sit right in with the crew..

Well yea i know what you mean about how they don't get reported as much, unless the mission is something of importance.

But like secret space fleets? I know ive never really read any website info about this, except for mentions of it on this board. But look at the movie armageddon, and how they had a secret spaceship that could fly past the moon.. I know that movie was all fantasy and whatever. But its possible.. Those rockets are all getting old, and technology changes constantly. I bet there are secret international projects of countries, and evenrogue groups of scientists, engineers, nations that hide things well enough to develop such secret fleets of "ships".
Who knows maybe even Canada since its so huge has secret complex's that launch space craft, or not even in Canada, but like Greenland could have bases.
My rant is long, but i can go on for hours about stuff like this. Thats why I joined this forum because it interests me, even though I feel like I make people (friends) think im crazy sometimes.
Just like I remember when i was younger, must have been about 7 or more years ago, I walked my dog and saw some plane or something fast fly over really quickly and quietly over my head really low. And also how some "asteroid" fell into Greenland from outer space, but now it makes me think that it could have been something else. That made a really big explosion from its hit. I dont know if anyone remembers that, but I do, and saw it on Discovery channel canada.

Secret bases are everywhere I bet. I wonder how many are in Canada.

LOL thats easy, just look at Public aeronautical charts and look for the red lined no fly zones

Also look at Nato and Norad lsites for listed areas. [Cheyenne Mountain is both US and Canadian] There are many, especially in the north.

Check out the History of Cold Lake Alberta, when there was a joint USAF/CANADA operation building the avro saucer... [This area just by fluke happens to be flight line with those firat famous "flying saucers" near Mt Rainer in 1947]
