Crazy pic. I would assume it is fake, only because of the size differential between the head (teeth) and the lack of room for a digestive track. It'd be like having a fifty caliber bullet firing from a .22 caliber weapon. Just a guess though... AAC

I've never seen a fish with nostrils. Had to have been fun to put together though. I'd like to have one to leave in my mail box and scare the crap out of the postman.

That "fish" was from one of those feejee mermaid sites so I think its like one of those taxidermy sculptures.

I think that that forward facing eyes also indicate that its fake. Pretty neat either way.

IMO real deep see fish get far stranger then that thing. A few examples Eurypharynx pelecanoides,Chauliodus sloani,Anoplogaster cornuta

Far weirder then anything people have dreamed up in my view

baboon snapper eh? I think I've heard of those.
that Anoplogaster cornuta though...it's an ugly little critter for sure.
Wouldn't mind having one of those in my fishtank.
