I recently discovered that we have mice in our house. Obviously I want to get rid of them. I don't want to kill the lil buggers though.

So while searching the net for ideas I came across this picture:

It's a great idea, but it will only catch one mouse and you have to reset it.
I thought about it for a while and came up with this one:

It resets itself thanks to a penny siliconed under one end of the pipe.

Anyone have any "Better Mousetrap" ideas?
I've always loved those "Rube Goldberg" setups... LOL

Let's hear yours!

Have you ever seen mice jump? They can jump upward a pretty good distance given their size, and leg structure. Good thing you've got a tall 30 Gal. can to trap them with.

Like the idea though.

I usually put an inch of water in the bucket, not enough to drown them, but enough to hinder their jumping ability.

I just have fun with this stuff. LOL

4 mice in the bucket this morning.
I'm gonna drop them off on my way to work.
They're funny looking all soaking wet. LOL

Aww, you're nice Beerguy. I am forced to use those normal mousetraps, but I hardly ever do. I don't want to hurt the little things, even if COMMANDED to do so the night before.

"Now you are going to set those mousetraps, aren't you Tom?"
"Yeah, sure, I'll get right onto it as soon as you're in bed."

Check your local laws first. You might be a dangerous criminal if you release the mouses into the wild without hurting them. A good samaritan would kill them in a painful death.

So Mr Hill was astonished to receive a visit from an RSPCA inspector who he said scolded him for breaking the law and threatened to haul him into court.

He was even more outraged to learn that, thanks to a bizarre quirk in the law, he would not be in any bother at all if he had simply shot the squirrels dead, rather than letting them go.

ufia, ya I know about those laws and I think they're pretty stupid. LOL
I just look around and make sure no one is watching then dump em.
I raised two baby bunnies a month ago, they're running around in my backyard at the moment. Free as a bird and scared of humans (gotta hardly ever touch em).
I'm trying to find an orphaned baby possum, I'd keep that one as a pet.
