I've been off the boards for several days precisely because I grow weary of ATS. All the flames, snarkiness, warns and bans make me tired.
Members seem more interested in posting their own threads and opinions than learning from others. Sometimes they don't even follow up on their own
threads or they are defensive when someone else makes a point contrary to their own. ATS is certainly a microcosm of the world at large - polarized.
More importantly, however, I find myself wondering if we are really even making a difference. The world goes on, just the same...
BUT today, the very first post I read was DG's. I want to thank you, DG, for the touch of tenderness and humanity you bring to ATS. These are traits
woefully missing in today's world. *HUG*
I would also like to thank those ATS members who participate in civil debates and agree to respectfully disagree. *HUGS*
Thanks, too, to those members who challenge my beliefs and broaden my perspective with well thought out and well written posts, speculative posts that
are based on reality or facts and posts of a scientific nature. You make ATS a better place. *HUGS*
And last but not least, *HUG* to Redge777, wherever he may be, ATS is not as interesting without him, even if he was slightly touched.
