I can't help but to think we are inherently evil. I mean I find it easier to rebel than conform. I find evil easier, but I prefer good, but it takes more effort. Know what I mean

Rebellion isn't necessarily evil. Rebellion against certain things *organized religion* are misconrtrued as evil by certain folk though.

no, unless you were born to be that way...
and i cant see that being the case since we were all born to be great...
it is those who have controll that tell those who dont that they are evil for not conforming to the idea of belialism, luceferianism(worshipping him instead of praising all the many face of the creator)...

I agree, we are thought to think negatively. It's a habit. It's much easier feel bad or angry than to feel good.

we are programmed to think and act in evil ways...
just look at the movie lineup for the past few months...

and killbill is just demonic...

oh come on, that movie was like the greatest. merely a form of artistic expression, that's all. it's a combination of shaw bros. film and spaghetti western cliches, i mean, what more can you want?

Good and evil are points of view. The boundries have been cemented in our minds through millenia of conditioning. We aren't good or evil, we just are.

to have no respect for life and love for non-being is certainly evil...
and dont play the confusion game with this one for it is a universal law...

i have to agree with NotTooHappy on this one. but then again, i prefer not to believe in good/evil, right/wrong at all. when it comes down to it, it all depends on what you are trying to do in life. try not to use judgements like these whenever you can, rather, try observing what simply is. if you say that you are going to toronto, and start walking towards detroit, i'll tell you that you are going the wrong way. it's not a judgement, just an observation. but that's just in the case of the quickest route. if you said you were going to toronto, and you were walking towards detroit, knowing that you'll get to it someday, well then that's a different thing all together. i was merely pointing out what you declared as reference to a choice/decision. well you get what i mean.

Does a lion have respect for life? Does that make it evil? I don't have a love for non-being and I'm not evil. I'm not playing the confusion game, that's just how it is. I don't kill people because I have no need to, does that make me "good", no, it makes me normal. If I had to kill, I would. Would that make me evil?

lets get the reference point right...

evil is the topic of discussion...

not judgements...

evil is the lack of compassion of other beings regardless of preconcieved judgements...

good is love of other beings regardless of preconcieved judgements...

regardless, saying something is evil is a judgement in it self. we all have our own place for the term. one may think that a "terrorist" (for example) is evil, while that "terrorist" may also think that that person/society they are from is evil. it's all perspective. all that one has to know is that it is true for themselves. going any further, as to saying what is evil or good for anyone else, infringes on there being. but that doesn't mean you're not allowed to do it.

That's exactly right! In our eyes The Islamic Jihad is very evil, in their eyes, there the goodest there is. It's all objective.

its subjective look up the difference in the dictionary...
evil is a fine line...
one who walks it tends to push others down for fear of falling in front of their path...

you are right big sage, in a way, that you are right for yourself when you say that, and for everyone else through your eyes, but not for everyone else in their own. if i choose not to believe in it, it ceases to exist, for me. and for everyone else through my eyes if i choose it too, but i also know that i cant impose such thoughts on others. i'd rather let them choose their own reality.

I don't believe that we are inheritanly evil or good.We are somewhat nuetral. We make the choice to do good or evil.I can choose in my own mind to give or steal,to love or kill, therefore I am not programmed or designed in any one fashion.

and would you recgonize it if you were programmed?
most walk around with the mind of the beast put on them by social infrastructures and a few see the light...

We are inherently good.

Its just the illusion of seperation and the stuff that comes after, that make us seem evil.

Evil is illusion. Its only valid and exsisting to allow "good" to exist.

Evil is like a big joke, a slave thats just totally blind.
