Electronic snow plow ?

Hello
I'm new at this. I don't know if I'm doing anything. anywho
I saw a program on discovery channel , 1 time, which is really weird cause they repeat everything to the point of exhaustion. The program I speak of was about fighter aircraft and they described somthing that was mounted in the nose(not the radar) that was suppose to emit something (electrons, magnetic field)to reduce the effect of friction on the aircraft. Like I said I only saw this once and its gone. Does anyone have any idea what I'm talking(typing) about?
