A Possible Connection Between Various SSN Thefts?

Lately, as I'm sure all you have heard, millions of Social Security Numbers have been lost to theft.

This coupled with the story of a 7-11 transfering ATM funds to Istanbul, Turkey (obviously a shadow account) has lead me to believe that some organization is taking advantage of our weak electronic infrastructure.

The problem is, how are these stolen identities and funds being used.

I don't think it's the "terrorists" ... the shadow account setup in Istanbul, Turkey seems too obvious to be "terrorists". It's obviously a scape goat.


I appologize for not having a link about the 7/11 incident, but I heard it in the news a few months ago and I can assure you that it is true. I just attempted trying to find a link and couldn't find one.
