Aha!

Handy Hint:

Never ever feel guilty for adding a new twist to an existing Topic, or for referencing material including a linked website that may have appeared at ATS before.

Because, if you didn't link it, then many ATS members would miss out on its benefits where it is buried in the archives!

And, you can rely on some Helpful Herbert to come along and add weight to your referencing if it is a Topic of interest for that member.

Remember that there is a Favorites and Suscribe feature that you can use to keep track of your favorite threads. Is is useful when you have a thread that you made, but don't want it to drop to the bottom of the page and forget about it.

Don't make a thread whining and complaining about other members. Ther is a Complain link on the top of the page that many people don't seem to use. Remember it's anynomous (sp?).

If you want people to read you rhtread, please make the title of it descriptive of the thread. I fyou just say something generic like "An interesting find...", then chances are that it'll likely be ignored because no one knows what your talking about. Besides, given the frequency of posts like those, it's really not that effective.

Breaking you post up into paragraphs reaaaallly makes it easier to read. I would rather read a really long post broken into paragraphs than a solid chunk of text. It's alot easier on the eyes.

*bumps thread back up to reality*

If you really have a problem with another member, just use the complaint link at the top. It really does more harm than good if you start a name calling thread and publicize it. That's how people get banned.

Don't accuse mods of being nazis, that's how you get banned. They're just trying to make the baord a better place. You can also use the complain link to report the mods as well!!!

Writers: Please read the entire thread/story before you add something. Alot of times people tend to ignore previous happenings and just post to continue from the last post. It really leaves out alot of stuff if you do that.

Just a few more things that came into my head.
